“Great Location in Amish Country and for families/couples”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

We recently visited the Best Western Eden with my mother in-law. We had the two bedroom villa. All I can say is wow! Plenty of room, 2 1/2 baths, fireplace, and yes a free washer and dryer. My only partial complaint is that you are close to the highway and can hear some road noise even though they have sound proofed these units. Also, bath towels could be softer. The hotel offers two heated pools (in and out) that have plenty of room and many other co-located activities (basketball, pool, ping pong and putting green.

The hotel has two restaurants/bars that are reasonably priced with large portions. Food is very good but our sides came out cool. Also wine selection is very limited whihc is a bit surprising for a higher end hotel.

Another comment is that the hotel accomodates large tour buses and as a result the hotel can be crowded.

Overall great place that we will definitely return if in the area.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the highway side or near the large function rooms if there are weddings.

This has to be the nicest Best Western in the chain. The hotel is located beside a busy highway, but, none of the noise penetrated into the room. The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed and maintained. I had a small maintenance problem. I placed a call in re this and it seemed like maintenance was ringing my doorbell before I hung up the phone. The location of the hotel makes getting to the many attractions in the area an easy drive. I had my cat, Sophie Marie, with me and she was welcomed with numerous gifts. The hotel is a bit costly but the condition of the property probably justifies the price.

Spending a single night here on our trip around the country side was a great experience. We arrived late and left early next morning and as such did not have much time here, but the time we did spend was great.
Check-in was fast and easy, parking was available very close to our room and the room was very nice indeed. Even a minor technical issue in the room was solved very quickly.
The beds are good and the room well kept.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed in plenty of similar hotels and motels across the US and this is for sure one of the best. Highly recommend this for staying in this area!

We don't typically stay in Best Western hotels, but I attended a conference and so the choice was made for me. The conference center is quite large with a large conference room and several smaller rooms. The chairs were comfortable and staff very helpful. My room was a suite, much too big for one person. It had a very comfortable bed, large vanity area adjacent to a microwave / refrigerator area, and living room with a desk. I think the hotel was recently updated so everything was quite nice. The bed was turned down at night with chocolates two of the three days, and housekeeping staff were very friendly and accomodating. I really liked the dual fireplace seating area in the lobby; it was very comfortable and a nice area to sit and visit with friends and colleagues.

On the downside, the meals provided for the conference were unimaginative and redundant. The food was good, but grew weary with repetition, especially the pinkish ravioli salad. LIghting was poor in some of the rooms and the large conference room was rather dated. I flew into Harrisburg so resort was almost an hour away. I did not use the pool or jaquizzi. The resort had a tiny convenience store that was not well stocked and, as usual, very expensive.

Room Tip: Avoid the elevator area. The hallways are quite long and I could only find one elevator, so there i...

Hotel rooms are very clean and well furnished, hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped. Pools and hot tubs were clean. I payed for a double queen (110.00) a night but was upgraded to a suite. Very nice rooms with three queen beds and two flat screen tv's. Could have easily slept six. There was a little noise in the back room from the parking lot, but nothing to bad and usually after 7:00 am. Breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. To many choices to list. Will return again soon.

Yes the hotels sits by a major highway in Lancaster. There may be noise from trucks. If you get a pool room there may be chlorine. So what.
This is a GREAT hotel if you are used to good hotels. They have a nice music in your room, a jack for DVD, computers.
Family and couples very friendly. Giant indoor pool, great couples whirlpool and outdoor pool. Sauna in workout room next to pool. 2 bars 2 restaurants. TV's in both. Fireplace in lobby. Person checking us in was ok, guy was busy and a know it all when talking with other help. We were given a good rate for walk up. Room nice, bed nice. Pay movies was fun when other couple we met stopped in. Restaurant was not expensive. Food good, kids menu also. 2 weddings there also so this is a big place. Plenty of parking. No horse smell from farms in Lancaster. Easy on easy off ramp. Seem clean. Bathroom small but no reason to complain. Would not fit 4 people but 2 people could be in there. Truly the best hotel stayed in for the discount price. They had breakfast in restaurant but no discount given to hotel guest. Great hotel for couples and seem fun if you use the pool for families also . Nice mall down the road Park City Mall. Sheets gas / store across parking lot for those who want a midnight snack or need to get a rain coat for the night. Very nice hotel, looking forward to going back New Years Eve to party. Like all hotels, you can find fault with something. My wife and I had a great time and a restful sleep at the BW Eden.

Room Tip: Bring your bathing suit and a cool brew. Try to get a room next to pool, hotel so big. Your wife wil...
