“Cool time for about an hour”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We just spent five days in the Poconos, and one of the events we wanted to go to was Crystal Cabin Fever in the Sculpted Ice Works Factory. This was advertised as "The Poconos Top Rated Attractions". Tickets were $15 for an adults and $10 for a child, with children under 3 admitted for free. I was disappointed to have missed a really good Groupon that would have admitted the whole family for $15. I did find a "Daily Deal" for buy one get one free - which I bought two of. That still left two in our party that we had no tickets for. So for the price of $60, the six of us got in to the exhibit. It was a freezing cold barn of gorgeous ice sculptures. The sculptures, were all amazing. However, after looking at each sculpture, which took about an hour in total, we were done. It was an expensive day in all. I think it is worth going to, but do your research and find a coupon or Groupon to get in. It is NOT worth $15 a person.....not for an hour. It is really cool to look at the sculptures...oh, and unfortunately, there is no actual sculpting happening. They are sculptured and you just look at them. Find a coupon and plan other activities in that area, because after an hour, you are done, and it is quite a bit north in the Poconos.

“Sunday Feb sightseeing in PA”
Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

We saw a commercial on TV for the Ice House and Cabin Fever. So we decided to spend the afternoon taking and afternoon drive to see something different. We had a great afternoon seeing the ice buildings and sculptors. $15 a person and you can slide all afternoon on the ice slide. I was really impressed with the ice sculptors.... It was worth the money to make memories spending time with the family!

“Ice is nice”
Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

We were there during a charity ice sculpting competition. It was very interesting to see how they actually make such amazing pieces of art. I was with my 11 & 13 year boys they also enjoyed themselves. Many sculptures on display, ice harvesting museum, small petting zoo and pony rides for children. Wine tasting for adults. Worth a visit. Only there for a week or 2 in February.

“Great ice slide and ice carvings”
Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

Took the grand kids to see the ice carving. Didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by what we found. Thought it would all be outside, but every thing is inside a huge barn. Best to get your admission through Groupon it makes the cost more reasonable. There are three story high ice carvings and a huge ice slide the kids loved, 50ft long. Couldn't get them away from it. They had free wine tasting in the replica of a ice palace. Food and drink were priced low: soda 1$, hotdog 2$, soft pretzels 2$; free hot chocolate with admission 1 serving.
Large outside fire pit with some chairs around to get warm. Small museum on the topic of the early ice industry and a gift shop. There was a wood carving exhibit in the back. They were carving bears out of logs, missed that part because there was no schedule of events to follow. Dress warmly, should have snow pants to stay warm and go the fastest on the snow slide. They don't have a place to really sit down and eat your food that would be a thought for they management to thing about. There are port a potties outside and small warm restrooms in the museums. All the kids asked to come back, so that is always the best indicator for any attraction.
