It was nice resort. Kids loved the Arcade. Not too many activities. A little disappointing. I think it was kind of expensive. Didn't care for the restaurant. Glad I won in Turtle bingo so I did not have to pay for it except the tip. The water park was so small and expensive. Totally not worth it!!
You could go to Dorney Park and visit 2 parks for the price of this very small water park. Bowling alley is small, only 8 lanes but nice. Didn't see the movie because they were showing a movie we already saw.

We just got back from spending a couple of nights at Split Rock for spring break. We purchased a "Stay & Splash" package that included rooms and 4 2-day passes to the water park. We reserved a slopeside suite in the Galleria. The room was nice, though the pull-out couch was not terribly comfortable. It was nice having a kitchen, so we could bring food for breakfast and some snacks.

The main focus of our stay was the water park, and we weren't disappointed. Our daughters (age 6 and 9) had a blast in the wave pool and Jungle Falls. We all enjoyed the three water slides, riding them over and over, and my older daughter tried out the Flow Rider. It was really fun on Monday, as we ran around in our bathing suits while snow fell outside! Two days at the water park was perfect, as we got to do all that we wanted, but didn't get tired of it.

We also took advantage of the arcade, bowling, and movie theater. While it wasn't cheap, we all had a good time.

We did have a couple of criticisms. One was something that the resort itself couldn't really do anything about: there were kids running up and down the halls and being loud pretty late into the night. Not sure where their parents were. Our other issue was that there weren't a lot of food options. We ate at the main restaurant in the Galleria for dinner both nights and for breakfast the day we left. There was also the food stand at the water park, as well as pizza. We wanted to go to BenchWarmers at the Lodge, which was listed as a dining option and has a better beer selection, but when we got there, it was 21 and up, so no go. We found out later that they weren't serving food anyway. There is also an Italian restaurant at the Lodge, but it was a bit pricey.

Despite the limited food selection, we had a wonderful time, and our kids are already asking when we can go back. I have to admit that some of the reviews here had me a bit wary, but our experience was really good.

We have been here three years in a row now. This was our first time coming over spring break though. There was definately a difference in service and organization during this trip. A lot more staff was definately needed. We had to wait a lot for activities that were planned, for help in areas like bowling and the arcade, to reserve courts, etc. When coming with children, and having to wait a lot, that kills some of the fun for all of us. We've loved coming here in the past, but will think twice before coming again during a busy week. Otherwise we really like coming here. There is a lot to do for all of our family (children 13, 10 and 5). They love the kids activities that are planned and especially love the water park bring right there. We stayed at Westwood and love the place. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our week there.

Average resort.
What pleased when we checked in and were upgraded to a suite. Room was old but nice and had a good kitchen and huge bathroom.

Went to the gym and was ok but some equipment wasn't working and other pieces were very worn. There was no hot water in the locker room and the lady at the desk said it happens all the time....

Went to the pizzeria for lunch and all they had was pepperoni and 1 slice of plain left. They said it would be an hour to get another slice of plain. Sure enough we ordered a couple pepperoni slices and 10 minutes letter a fresh plain pie came out.

We got back to our room on the second day and found it was never cleaned. Had to call the desk to get someone to bring over some dish soap so we could have clean dishes for breakfast. They also said they would bring fresh towels and have someone make the bed and "freshen up" the room. All we got was dish soap and coffee.

Upon checkout, the manager didn't want to hear it and just credited me $25 for a cleaning fee that is part of the rate....

Probably would not stay here again, price was right but you get what you pay for.

Only 1 3/4 hrs from Hamilton, NJ. This place pretty much has it all. Arcade, bowling, movie theater, hair salon, water park, massages, gift shop, pools and more. Local snowmobiles and atvs, horseback riding. I can go on and on. Villas are clean and pretty well (not perfect) maintained. Nice and roomy are the 2 bedroom units. Units are due for upgrades as they were the same 9 yrs ago as now except for flat screen tv's in livingroom and master bedroom. With that said, staff is great and we had a relaxing vacation with plenty to due. TAKE A SHOT!

Had the opportunity to visit Split Rock Resort again during March 9 - 16, 2013 with family members including our 3 yr old & 7 mo old granddaughters. Our stay was @ the Galleria and
most enjoyable with all the amenities provided there. No hassle check-in, check-out, great staff and food available @ all times, especially the ice-cream which we all enjoyed. Look forward to visiting there at least two more times this year.

Stayed at Split Rock with our children for a 3 day weekend. Very easy to check in, did not need to stand in line forever because the check in staff was quick and friendly. We had a fantastic time. They have a movie theater that was showing The Great and Powerful Oz. It looks like in the next few week The Crooks will be playing. There was so many things to do between the water park and bowling that the children did not want to leave. When you go, make sure to try the breakfast buffett. It was very nice. We will return in the summer.
