I debated if I should submit this review then saw on another site that others actually had the same experience that our family did. My daughter had her wedding at Mitchell Ponds. She wanted a different venue and a comfortable, fun, atmosphere and Mitchell Ponds seemed like the perfect setting at the time of our first visit. When we arrived on Friday before the wedding the grass was just being cut, the pool water was green, and there were dog droppings and rotting apples everywhere. The innkeeper assured us that everything would be ready by the next day, even though we had plans for that evening. Those plans then changed. We were embarrassed and didn't want our guest to see the condition of the grounds. The innkeeper was so intoxicated by evening her assistant had to walk her to her home on the property. She had become loud and was using the F word as if we weren't there. My daughter and her then fiancée were very upset and worried about the next days events..100 guest were on their way. By early afternoon of the wedding the innkeeper was again drinking, from our bar, which led to her falling flat on her face in the entrance of the reception in front of all of the guests. It was a stressful day, and should not have been. With the price of the venue you would think the bride and her bridal party would not need to set up for her own ceremony and worry about how the day would turn out. The entire weekend was handled very unprofessional by someone who calls herself an Innkeeper. After our experience, no one in my family would consider going back to Mitchell Ponds for even an overnight stay.
