“A must see during migration!”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Late February and all of March bring an influx of waterfowl to this beautiful natural area. Watching the snow geese and tundra swans fly overhead, then land on the lake is a breathtaking experience. The sheer beauty of tens of thousands of birds is worth the trip. The visitors center is open from 8 am to 4 pm Tuesday - Saturday and Sunday 12 - 5 pm. this period and contains both a bird watching station with binoculars and field guides and displays. The Wildlife Conservation officer is fantastic!

“Just Beautiful”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

I was training for a marathon and needed a place to do a 20 mile run. I just kept looping around the beautiful trails of this nature preserve. Whether it's spring, summer or fabulous fall - there's always something wonderful to see at Middlecreek. It's off the beaten path, but the bird migration is amazing, the hiking trails are like no other. Quite an experience!

“Amazing natural site”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

Although this is a bit off the beaten path, it's well worth the drive. It's great for both bird and people watching and the nature center offers programs. If you go at the right time you will be blown away by the migration!
