Many years ago I stayed at a Best Western in Orlando and swore that I would never stay at another one. I should have kept my promise to myself. Like other readers, I was swayed by the nice pictures, description of the grassy courtyard and balconies, and the information about the "newly remodeled wing." It is true that you can face a nice grassy area but that is the only nice thing about the hotel. The "new" room was decorated in a 1960's style with gold and green dingy bedspreads. There was a bench in the room that was so stained that I wouldn't put a suitcase on it. And the whole room smelled bad. The plastic porch furniture was so filthy that the wash cloth I used to clean it was completely black. The light bulb in the bathroom was burned out and the man who came to replace it looked like he was in the Hell's Angels.. After he came to our room, my son deadbolted the door because he looked so scary.
The breakfast is below average--you can get cold cereal and be safe, but that is about it.
I stayed here to save $20 from the Holiday Inn Express. What a mistake. Spend the extra money and get a decent night somewhere else!More
