Exquisite menu, cheerful and friendly staff, food cooked to perfection. Somewhat of a remote destination but well worth the drive. You won't regret it!

I have heard so many wonderful things about the Kimberton Inn over the years from mostly elder relatives. We went in September with another couple. The atmosphere is colonial, tastefully done and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The appetizers, salad and desert were our favorite part of the meal. We had coconut shrimp, one of their specialty salads and homemade mint ice cream - all delicious! For our main course, we chose filet mignon and veal. They were good but we felt the portions were small for the price. I've certainly had better in other establishments. Oh, and the wine was fantastic! The Kimberton has a very nice, extensive wine list.

Overall, it was a good meal. However, our expectations were so high that we felt a bit let down.

Kimberton Inn has an excellent reputation, and rightly so. The owner appears to pride himself on excellence in food, service, and appearance of the restaurant--and is very visible to help with selecting wines or answering any questions.
My husband and I ate there last week and enjoyed it very much. We both started with the smoked salmon appetizer, which was excellent, and we both had the black bass special--excellent! It was moist and fresh and presented beautifully. Dessert was also delicious. I had pecan pie and my husband had a fresh fruit tart. The pecan pie (with ice cream, of course) is one of the best I've ever had. A must visit place if you're in the area. Great for affairs such as weddings, also!

The Kimberton helps you recall that aloof tennis instructor who critiqued your serve by saying helpful things like "Reach higher. Toss the ball higher, and Keep it close and in front. It 's all in the wrist." This place is all about The serve (ice), and the food ranks right up there as well. Our friends had seafood. We had the veal. Very well appointed in all respects. Be sure your credit card has not expired and enjoy! The staff knows how to use their wrists.

Have been going back to the Kimberton Inn since 1991 when I was first introduced. Always an outstanding meal and excellent service whether it is dinner or Sunday brunch - have never been disappointed in one meal.
