Stopped in here with hubby for date night. Definitely felt like we were in Philadelphia rather than horse country, which was a nice change. Food was good, but overpriced. Service was average. Probably would choose somewhere else given the price.

Delicious homemade pasta, playful breadsticks, creative antipasta plate, fresh salad, delicious chicken, BYOB, responsive waitstaff, vibrant atmosphere--really great dining and a great experience.

Service is always wonderful. Love the inventive use of fresh vegetables and the pizzas are alway top notch. Particularly enjoyed the unusual and new approach to Anti Pasti.
Looking forward to our next visit.

The food at Sovana Bistro was so good and the menu so interesting that we ate here two nights in a row during our annual family reunion. The first night there were seven of us, everyone ordered something different, and every dish was a winner. The second night there were two of us, we ordered three courses, and every course was excellent. There is a seasonal menu and a traditional menu, and pasta dishes are available in two sizes, making it easy to sample more things. There is also an interesting array of reasonably priced wines by the glass, including local wines. Service is efficient but unobtrusive. As another guest at our bed and breakfast noted, it's unusual to find food of this quality outside a metropolitan area. Reservations are a must, thank goodness--the residents of Kennett Square obviously recognize a good thing when it shows up in their neighborhood.

I have been here 2 times and each time I have a different experience. The service is great and the attention to detail is exceptional. I have had the flatbreads/pizzas and main dishes. It can get crowded but worth going.
