Description: The Orchard is a an intimate country BYOB restaurant with a cuisine that is second to none located in Kennett Square PA. The Dining room with its plush, soft lighting boasts contemporary clean lines of crisp white walls, well placed antiques and plush fabrics that blend timeless elegance with one foot planted in old world luxury. Chef Trevisani's cuisine which follows the simplistic approach of the dining room is best described as new American cuisine in a French style.

Chef Trevisani's The Orchard is elegant, well-staffed, and designed for mature clientele who take time to enjoy a superior dinner. The menu is focused on locally sourced ingrediants and somewhat weighted towards meat dishes, although the salads,
soups, and fish are excellent. The room is quiet, and the lighting, flattering. Comfortable appointments. No experiments,
no tricks - rather, refined cuisine very well prepared and presented.

We went to The Orchard Saturday to celebrate a birthday. Having been here before and having a great experience, we bought a $25 restaurant.com gift certificate to use. We were seated by 8:02 pm (we had an 8pm reservation). By 8:30, we still had no menus, no water, no wine nor bread. Finally had menus plopped in front of us moments later. Our order was taken by 9, the appetizers came out around 9:30, and it was close to 10:30 when dinner came out. Our check was timestamped 11:05pm and that was only because we asked for it so we could get out of there. I can appreciate 'fine' dining and the art of food but the wait and the lack of service was appalling for the amount of money we spent. The hostess worked harder than the wait staff. To make matters worse, they would not honor my gift certificate because it was Mother's Day weekend. Its says nothing of the kind on the gift certificate. Very disappointed. Food was good but portions were so small, we left hungry. Sorry, no 'food' experience is worth a three hour wait.

We were looking for a nice restaurant in the Kennett Square area for an anniversary celebration with another couple. We find The Orchard restaurant which is BYOB and have a classy look style as well. As we arrived, they took our bottle of wine and take charge of the service of the wine. I never had this experience before in a BYOB but it was great in a way because we have no bottles on the table. The glass were filled all the time but it make us drink more. The food is excellent, everything we had was good but service is on the slow side so you have to be ready to relax and stay for 3 hours in the restaurant. All meat were cook as we asked and it was really tender.
We would recommended this place for the quality of the food but not so for a family with children has it's a long service.

A BYOB in Kennett Square Orchard has a nice following of locals who are happy with the place. It had been a while since dining there and we initially wondered why we hadn't been back sooner. then it came back, the service isn't on a par with the menu. It took forever for dishes to come out and from what seemed to be happening at other tables, we didn't have the worst of it. The food was OK, both entrees were undersauced and my fish was over cooked, but not criminally so. The amuses were nice. The service was the issue.
