Description: The Orchard is a an intimate country BYOB restaurant with a cuisine that is second to none located in Kennett Square PA. The Dining room with its plush, soft lighting boasts contemporary clean lines of crisp white walls, well placed antiques and plush fabrics that blend timeless elegance with one foot planted in old world luxury. Chef Trevisani's cuisine which follows the simplistic approach of the dining room is best described as new American cuisine in a French style.

A beautifully understated dining room provides guests with a simple yet elegant setting to enjoy superb cuisine. An amuse bouche began the meal, followed by succulent oysters dressed with a light herb finish. Main courses were beautifully presented and dessert was fantastic. Home made ice cream was bursting with flavors--the coffee and caramel especially good. Service was professional and helpful. Bonus--the acoustics were so good that even though we were closely seated, we couldn't hear our fellow diners' conversation! And the chef came out and spoke to us at the end--a very nice man who seemed truly happy to greet his customers.

From the small dining room setting to the excellent presentation of the incredible food, Orchard is and continues to be a special place. We've been before and every visit is a new 'adventure' for our taste buds. Chef Gary is wonderful, the dishes are filling but do not leave you overstuffed. We enjoyed Orchard so much, we got a gift certificate for my wife's administrative assistant for the holidays 2010. She asked for another one for Christmas 2011 as well.

The Orchard is a wonderful restaurant. The food is high end, foodies would enjoy this place. I have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. The food is elegant in design and taste. The extra small pre-meal, the in between courses of creative sorbets and the sweets after the meal are some of the highlights. And of course, bringing your own wine is a big plus in keeping the cost down. Lastly Gary the chef and owner is always a pleasure to talk to as he makes his rounds in this small intimate restaurant.

This is a small, quiet, elegant restaurant off of busy route one in Kennet Square. It is set far enough from the road to give it a quiet setting.
The food is good although the choices are somewhat limited. There are, however enough choices to satisfy our taste. The salad that my wife had was beautiful and tasty. My mushroom-chevre appetizer was too much cheese and not enough mushrooms for my taste.
My veal entre was delicious and did have great mushroom accompanying it on the plate. The sauce was scrumptious. My wife had the duck which was also tender and tasty.
The restaurant is a BYOB and they do charge a $5 corking fee. The meals are not cheap but the portions are just right, the food is very good and the service was perfect. We never felt rushed. The waiter helped us make choices which were right on the mark. We will return.

This is a magical restaurant that serves world-class food in a relaxed welcoming surrounding. The second floor tables are ample, and the adjacent lounge adds a sophisticated backdrop. The presentation and the ingredients were a delight for the eye and the pallet. We had just arrived from San Francisco, jumped into our friend's car, and traveled he backroads of Chester County to find this culinary gem. Rivals the Michelin starred locations back home!! Would love to have a "neighborhood" restaurant like this close by.
