Beautiful displays of flowers in Season. Wonderful Fountain and Firework displays in Summer. Fantastic light displays and enrertainment over the winter holidays. Top notch large Greenhouse with amazing displays all year round. and a children's area that is unmatched. I have seen nothing like it anywhere else.

“A beautiful place to visit”
Reviewed February 17, 2012

I've visited Longwood Gardens several times and have enjoyed every visit. The gardens are incredibly beautiful in Spring and consistently well-tended. There are a variety of formal gardens and the largest conservatory I've ever seen. Children will love the children's garden inside the conservatory. Be ready to walk -- there is so much to see over many acres. You can also capture incredible photos and gather ideas for your own garden. Plan your visit around a concert or fireworks and enjoy the show!

“Lovely gardens”
Reviewed February 16, 2012

I have been to Longwood at every season and I have a hard time saying which is my favorite, they switch out the flowers in the greenhouses and decorate the trees outside at Xmas. Bring plenty of film/memory card for your camera, the photo ops are numerous. If you have a chance see the 'fireworks and fountains' show done several times in the summer.

“Beautiful &Tranquil,”

If you like gardens, flowers, a great walk in wonderful surroundings, plants, ponds, and a special fountain water show...this is it....Recommend you go early morning and do lunch and walk the gardens and green houses. Suggest you arrange your time to see the lily programs in the ponds by the staff. Do not miss the 12:00 noon water show in front of the green houses....this takes about 3-4 hours, but is a special day or a great place to stop and just exercise in wonderful surroundings. Although it might be slightly off the beaten path, it is only the most an hour drive. You will be glad you did this.....call for opening time and plan accordingly....educational experience for your children too.
