Owner description: Living Treasures Wild Animal Park, a great family experience for all ages. We have hundreds of animals almost in touching range. A large petting area features new babies that love to be hand fed. We are adjacent to Log Cabin Lodge and Suites. Come spend the day with us.

I had such a positive experience at the Moraine location that I had to make a trip to the Donegal/Jones Mills location. Believe me, it is worth it!
We went on a Saturday in July on a clear, low-humidity day and were completely shocked that the place was not very crowded at all. We could spend as much time viewing each animal as we wanted and didn't feel as though we were in anyone's way.
The entry fees and gift shop prices are extremely reasonable. We had a coupon from the Entertainment book for a buy-one-get-one adult admission and ended up paying just $11 for two adults. The coupon is in current Entertainment books and is good until November 1, 2013.
We were thrilled to discover that the park has recently welcomed a lot of baby animals to their family. We encountered baby marmosets, baby lemurs, baby bear cubs, baby tortoises, goat kids, and many more.
The enclosures are extremely interactive and they are designed in a way that keeps the animals visible to the public. For example, the capuchin monkey enclosure is much taller than it is wide with plenty of obstacles and fun things for the monkeys to play around on. There is a bucket attached to two ropes for feeding. One rope pulls the bucket toward the human visitors where they can deposit some Cheerios, and the other rope is for the monkeys to pull the bucket back into their reach where they will eat their treats. The animals were extremely responsive to this and it was so much fun watching those little animals eat!
Other exhibits (like the bears) feature long PVC tubes where food pellets can be dropped into the exhibit for the animals to retrieve.
The grounds are well-maintained and there are benches and even a lakeside gazebo for visitors to rest between exhibits.
The animals at this location range from farm animals like goats, pot-bellied pigs, miniature horses, alpacas, and llamas to the completely exotic like the white tigers, lions, and lemurs.
The gift shop is massive here and sells everything from clothing to toys, jewelry, household goods, equestrian supplies and saddles, and much much more. The prices are extremely reasonable--much less than the Pittsburgh zoo for a great quality souvenir. There are ice cream treats and other snack items as well.
As a side note: the pathways throughout the whole park are small chip gravel which may be a bit of a difficulty for strollers or wheelchairs.
We absolutely loved our visit and will definitely return!

We took our two granddaughters to Living Treasures. I was pleasantly surprised! It was much better than I expected. Reasonable priced, clean restrooms, low cost drinks and friendly staff. The animals were well cared for. The girls especially enjoyed the baby lions, the cows, goats and the young zebra. When a greedy goat ripped the food container form my granddaughter's hands, the staff replaced the food! This was much more than I expected. Thank you for a lovely day!

A great place to spend an hour or two. The price to get in was very reasonable and the staff are very good. The season pass is a great deal if you live in the area. It was fun feeding the animals. The park was clean and the animals seem to be well cared for. They also have many baby animals that are neat to see. We also had the chance to bottle feed a baby camel.

I understand that this is not a full fledged zoo, but I would say that more than 3/4 of the exhibits were filthy dirty. The water was very very dirty in the enclosures and it looked like they haven't used a "pooper scooper" in quite some time. That made for a great smell and bug situation. Most of the animals looked well cared for, but some looked like they needed a good tending to. Plus, I do not understand why some of the enclosures are all rocks. The zebra enclosure is huge but it is all rocks, no grass for them to run on, and if you watch, they walk one path where the rocks are worn away. I guess you get what you pay for, but the price was almost the same as the Pittsburgh Zoo and you get a much better experience.

This is not a zoo, this is a very cool petting zoo, with a couple of animals that you don't want to pet. When we got there we had our doubts from some of these bad reviews, only to find nice staffmemberes, healthy active animals, a baby camel, baby zebra, and a bunch of other animals like deer, goats, lamas, minature horses, that all come up too you to pose for pics and let you feed them. My 8 year old, wife and I all had a wonderful time.
