The inclined plain is not easy to get to and once you're there it may take a minute ot two to find where to get your ticket. The ride just take a few minutes and gives a good view of Johnstown. " The steepest incline in the world' is a nice tame ride .

We went to see the main attraction in Johnstown. There is a great view from the top and is historic.

Friends and I just returned from a weekend to Falling Water and Johnstown was our first stop. On the way we read excerpts from the story about the Johhnstown Flood so when we arrived, the Inclined Plane was our first stop.

The Inclined Plane goes all the way up a mountain and when you reach the top, you get the full view to follow and imagine the rush of water that came through and destroyed the town.

The Inclined Plane ride itself was so much fun. The trip up and down is very fast and the views as you climb amazing.

We did this the last weekend of the month so the foliage color was amazing.
The rangers who run it are also lots of fun and a wealth of information.
We did go over to the flood museum after which was also interesting too.

Woulderful view of the city with all the fall colors. The ride on the incline car was unique and very reasonable. We were able to watch the huge gears and motor work the cars from the motor room. Wow what a feat in old time engineering that still works today.
We had a nice reasonalbe meal at the restaurant at the top also with a great view.
