A two night stay for a long weekend including the "Life's a Picnic" option which came with buffet breakfast for 2 and a picnic hamper of "gourmet" items. The tariff is a little on the pricey side, but our ground floor room, which had a view out towards the practice putting green, was very spacious with a good size kitchenette, and separate bedroom and bathroom ... it was really more of an apartment that a typical hotel room so plenty of space to stretch out and relax. The apartment was generally well kept and clean except for a "short & curly" on the soap - obviously a parting gift from the previous guests! Thankfully we had our own. Unfortunately, parking for the apartments is not covered, so the car baked a bit in the hot sun. The buffet breakfast included hot and cold choices with a decent range and plenty to fill up on. As mentioned by others, the hotel is a bit out of the way and so you need to drive back to the town to pick up supplies etc, but was very quiet at night. Other than a few smallish gripes, a good stay and recommended.
We recently stayed at the Kooindah Waters and found the rooms to be basic. The TV reception was inferior on Channel Nine and when we ordered room service our tray stayed overnight. Upon checking out when going to pay with Visa we were told there is a 1.5% charge "they" charge. On further questioning it was relayed that this was to be in line with the American Express and Diners Card...sounds like a Big Bank alliance Mercure chose to join? No apology was forthcoming and i feel as though we should be advised of this when booking. The location was a bit afar but good as it was quiet of an evening.
I stayed at this hotel on a quick overnight stay whilst in the Wyong/Tuggerah area. The room was nice and comfortable and the reception staff very helpful.
I'll certainly stay at this hotel again if I'm in the area
