I loved the buffalo chicken slice. Garlic knots were good, too. The place could really use a facelift. Service was good, but it was obviously a family place, as the server was helping her daughter/granddaughter do homework (not terribly busy that day), although i don't feel the service suffered too much because of this.

I ordered a steak sandwhich from this restaurant and did not specify "without sauce." I then asked if i could return the steak sandwhich for one without sauce, as I cannot stomach sauce, and they flatly refused, stating I should have ordered it without sauce. These people are not accomodating and obviously don't care about retaining customers. On top of that, the place is not a comfortable atmosphere. Do not eat at this location.

Jim Thorpe is a lovely town, but the really small historic section of town has a bit of a problem when it comes to restaurants. Most restaurants are either rather high end and more expensive then you might want to spend for a regular meal (vs say a special night out type event), or they're primarily there to feed mediocre food to tourists and frankly they don't care if you come back again. Antonio's is neither of those things, instead it falls under the category of local joint. Is the decor up to date, nope. But you're not there to gaze at the view or look at the fancy dining room you're there to eat some decent food and get back outside and explore Jim Thorpe some more. The pizzas are huge, the stromboli's are delicious and also huge. The drink refills come quickly and the staff is very friendly to everyone who walks through the door, local or tourist. If you've never tried them before you have to get an order of the fried pierogies (little pasta dough pockets filled with mashed potatoes), they might sound odd if you've never heard of them but they're incredibly common in PA in places where you had immigrant populations. Its not fancy food, but it reminded me a lot of various other local pizza joints I've lived near over the years - not looking like a lot from the outside (or inside) but turning out good, inexpensive, well made food. I'm missing the friend pierogies already - my local hole in the wall doesn't have them....

This place is depressing. The food was edible but not great. Seems like the owner just doesn't care. JT is such a cute town, I don't understand how a place like that survives. We ate at Trattoria 903 last time we were in town and that was VERY good.
