Great place to stay, lots of history. The owners really make you feel welcomed and they are willing to share the history of the mansion and the town. Clean, comfortable and historic. A great way to spend a relaxing weekend. We would stay here again, highly recommend.

Traveled to Jim Thorpe PA for the Harry Packer Murder mystery weekend.
The owner Pat cheerfully greeted my companion and myself and made us feel welcomed.
She explained the weekend itinerary and we also chatted for a while. The weekend involved taking on a role of a character in the mystery. If you are a wallflower and don’t like engaging and talking to people you just met this might not be for you. However a trip to the Mansion just for a B&B would still be worthwhile! It is beautiful and is like stepping back in time. I must say that Jim Thorpe originally known as ‘Mauch Chunk’ is a picturesque town. If you’re into the history of railroads and coal mining this area is a perfect center of operations to explore from. You can access the Lehigh railroad ride, and can also explore a number of local coal mine tours like the pioneer tunnel, of course be ready to do some walking!

The mansion is great, with so much history. The mansion is so well kept and the restoration done by owners is amazing. They run the place as well and they all provide great service on top of bien so nice people, including tiger who doesn't like to be let but we understand. Our whole wend experience at Jim Torpe was awesome. Food was great at a restaurant in Broadway street Nd the America concert At Penns peak was unforgettable. Great venue! We definitely will come back soon! Thank you!

We had a fantastic weekend and a great experience! The murder mystery was so much fun and it was fun to watch everyone get into their character once it was assigned. I loved that we all got to participate and no role was small. The staff was amazing. I can't write enough about them to give them the credit they deserve. Pat was so warm and welcoming and her food is amazing. Bob blew me away with his knowledge on the Packer Family and the history of the mansion, he also was very friendly and accomodating. Taylor and Christine did an amazing job with the Libations Lounge and always knew what exactly I wanted to drink. The mansion itself was beautiful....this really was the perfect place to go for an October weekend and I can't wait to go back!

We had a fantastic time with a "murder mystery" weekend stating in the mansion. The staff was outstanding, the bar had a nice refined feel to it, the food was excellent, the ambiance of the place was incredible, and the mystery was a lot of fun. The time was well spent and we are very much looking forward to returning.

This is an interactive weekend experience, so don't think you will just sit back and watch the show. You are assigned a character, and it's a great opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and help develop the story. You will meet a number of people from a variety of backgrounds who are seeking the same experience that you are. So make the most of it and have a great time! Hope that we see you there on our next visit!

Traveled to Jim Thrope PA aka Mauch Chunk for a weekend of fun and adventure. Was NOT disappointed. Make sure you plan on doing some walking, very hilly area. The Packer Mansion oozes history, and sits on top of a hill over looking the town and a perfect back drop for the murder mystery weekend. Also be prepared to be involved you will be assigned a role to play, its not a sit back and be entertained show.....You are part of the action. The owner 'Bob' expertly weaves a tale from historical events into a fanciful adventure, in which you actually participate, through the pages of history of the Packer family. My wife and I then walked to the cemetery up on the hill where you can actually see many of graves of the people the mystery was based on, also tour Asa packers house next door its a 1912 time capsule. Also make sure you visit the prison in town. There are lots of other sights in the area and plenty of shopping food and drink. The Packer Mansion is real jewel, will visit again!

We had a great time doing a "murder mystery" weekend.
The staff was very accommodating, fun, knowledgeable, and kind.
Advice: If you want to have a successful event, you'll have to be ready to really get into your roles, that is, to dive into it the role-playing with enthusiasm. We did that, and had a fantastic time. Really great food too.
