If you are looking for a relaxing weekend with someone you love...This is your place! Its like being catered to in your own home. The inn keeper, Rosemary, is ADORABLE (if you're lucky she'll make her amazing buckwheat pancakes with chunky applesauce)! She treated my beau and me like royalty. It was relaxing, clean, and romantic. The jacuzzi experience was awesome and the neighboring town had the friendliest people ever.
PS - enjoy some snow tubing while you are out there too!

We recently stayed at Angel of the Morning for our anniversary. Rosemary is wonderful. She enjoys what she is doing and it shows. The food was very good and the inn was clean. We stayed in the Angel Suite with queen bed, sitting room, and large jacuzzi tub. The only negative to the room is that it is on the front of the house so you do get some road noise during the day, but it was not a problem at night.

The town was charming, with lots of little shops. We got to take the train ride, the foliage was beautiful, but make sure to sit on the righthand side of the train so you can get the best view. Also, take a trip up to Penn's Peak to check out the view.

Listen to the innkeeper for dinner recommendations, she knows what's best and will even make the reservations for you. We would definetly stay here again.

Angel in the Morning B and B is in Jim Thorpe accorss the river from the historic district and was previously called Riverdance. It is operated by a new owner who is eager to please for about 4 months. The inn consists of a dining room and living room downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. Both the king room and queen suite are 125 plus tx. We stayed in the room with the King sized bed which was comfortable. The adjoining bathroom was roomy with a bath/shower combo that had whirlpool jets. The whirlpool was smaller than that what we had expected but was relaxing. New plush towels were plentiful. The room and bathroom were very clean.

Our innkeeper was friendly and helpful and made suggestions for dinner reservations and even called to make them for us. She gave us directions and sightseeing tips during breakfast. For breakfast we had an "egg frittata" (an egg casserole) , fresh fruit cup(watermelon and bluberrirs), toast OJ and coffee (Dunkin Donuts brand) It was good. We had a choice of toast and hot beverage but the rest of the menu was chosen for us. We ate in the dining room with pretty china, lit candles and a clear plastic table cloth over lace. This was our first experience in a B and B so I can't compare to other inns. I think it would have been nice to have been offered a drink/snack of some sort when we arrived but this may not be typical of a Band B. It was a quiet get away-we were the only guests that particular night.

Jim thorpe is an interesting town. We saw the mansion tour and old jail. Both were definitely worth seeing. don't miss shopping in Jim thorpe. taste some wine in the winery and some homemade pickles down the road. You can even get manicures and massages in town. the train ride is only operating on the weekends so we missed that. If you like adventure, you can go rafting or biking.
