My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Jim Thorpe and absolutely loved our stay at the Angel of the Morning B&B. Rosemary made us feel very welcome and gave us some excellent suggestions for the weekend activities. Derek prepared delicious breakfasts and Sara was a doll in helping out. Plus the cookies were fantastic. I may have to come back just for them. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will book our stay again next time we swing by Jim Thorpe.
Thank you for a great weekend..

It was my birthday weekend and my husband surprised me with a little gataway to Jim Thorpe! It was pleasant.
As for B&B Victorian style with its little cute things, friendly host, gorurmet delicious breakfast and great quiet location and still close to the town. One thing: it is older, and some renovations would be good. I assume vistoraian style is supposed to have this old house feel but some things like TV and bath tub and curtains could be nicer. Otherwise it looks cheap.
As for the town definitely goto Parker's mansion for a drink and you will be able to see everything not even staying there, not even paying for the tour.
Waterfalls is a must! Be prepared to walk on very steep rocky hill. It is worth it though!
Stay, Stay, Stay!

Staying at Angel of the Morning B&B was a great experience. Rosemary was a sweet woman who was very helpful on places to go and eat within town. She also helped set up a couples massage at a nearby inn in town. The rooms were pleasant, and had that older feel and look to them. The exception to the old feel was the jacuzzi in the Angel Room, which was fantastic and felt great. Breakfast was great. How can you go wrong when you have a nice Italian lady cooking for you? Rosemary felt like she was practically family by the end of it.

My girlfriend and I liked the area since it wasn't right in the heart of town, but it was a short car ride (around 5 minutes) or a 20-30 minute walk into town. It was just a little chilly or we may have walked it. We would definitely recommend booking here if you're going to Jim Thorpe or the Poconos.

We stayed at the Angel of The Morning Bed and Breakfast in Jim Thorpe PA over the weekend to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. It was our first trip to Jim Thorpe but certainly not our last. The B&B is owned and operated by a truly wonderful woman named Rosemarie Fazio. She ia native of the nearby town of Nesquehoning and what a treat it was to stay at her place. It is an exquisitely decorated, warm, welcoming. It almost felt like we had stayed with a relative that lives a couple hours away that we had just never had the opportunity to meet. Rosemarie was so accomodating and the room itself was beautiful and comfortabe. Upon arrival she asked what our plans were and made several recommendations for dinner and even called in our dinner reservation at what turned out to be a delictable dining experience at a northern Italian style restaurant called Macaluso's. It was about five minutes out of town. Unfortunately there was not much night life to be had at this time of the year. There are a couple concert venues - Penn's Peak is within a few miles but we were not in the mood for Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot. The Mauch Chunk Opera house is also a great place for live music but there was no one on the bill that particular evening so we made an early night of it. The following morning we had the pleasure of having breakfast with a couple from New York that had also stayed the night. Rosemarie's breakfast was extraordinary! Started out with personal sized strawberry shotcake served with a sweet cream glaze. She followed this up with buckwheat pancakes served with fresh blueberries wirth a blueberry spread between the pancakes, topped with crushed apple - Fantastic! SHe also served both Dunkin Doughnuts and Godiva Hazlenut coffees. What a way to start the day. We later said our good byes and headed of to town to check out all the shops. The Mulligan's gift shop was extremely cool. Many toys I havent seen since I was a kid and some newer really cool electroninc stuff too - very hip shop. There are a wide variety of things to see the local vinyard store on Race street was also very cool. There is far more to do Memorial Day through Labor Day so we are already planning on going back. White water rafting, train rides, tours, biking. Everyone was exceedingly friendly as well save one shop - "Chatelaine." The girl working there was very unfriendly and acted like she didn't want to be bothered and like we were keeping her from her knitting. STAY AWAY! "The Gem Shop" was a much better experience, friendlier, way more selection and better prices.
All in all a very pleasant enoyable experience, I highly recommend it.

Our one night stay at Angel of the Morning Bed and Breakfast was made memorable thanks to the kind, sweet, warmth of host Rosemary. Each room displays its own character and charm. The angel suite with the jacuzzi was romantic and relaxing!

We couldn't of found a better location to stay right in the heart of Jim Thorpe, with an assortment of outdoor activities and peaceful restaurants. Only minutes away from Blue Mountain too! Discount lift tickets through Rosemary are an absolute must! She's such a sweetheart!

We really, really appreciate you helping us out to find a place to put my Dad and Mom up in close to you too!! (since you only had 1 room left and kinda short notice) One of Dad's wishes came true this weekend due to an Angel named Rosemary! The name of your B&B surely fits the kind person you truly are an "Angel of the Morning". The breakfast was wonderful both days. Rosemary is very helpful how to get around and making reservations for places to eat etc. She also made great chocolate chip cookies the very first night we were there!! Gave us bottles of nice cold water when she greeted us! We had a comfortable night both nights we stayed and would come back some time in the future!!

The Angel of the Morning B&B was a wonderful choice when my family and I decided to head to Jim Thorpe PA as a stopover location on our way to a wedding in Maryland. The region's history and anthracite mining legacy brought us to the area... and Jim Thorpe's charm brought us to Angel of the Morning!

The B&B is located within 45 minutes of the purest anthracite deposit in the world... and has contributed so much to our country's history. Some of the most beautiful musuems and anthracite coal attractions are an under utilized part of this area. Rosemary (owner and amazing hostess) at A of the M B&B was great in helping my family explore the coal mining towns and explain the impact of the coal mining industry on her family! Her warmth was soothing and her home was delightful. She explained a lot about the area and the direct impact it had on her family.

If you plan on visiting Jim Thorpe for the shopping, outdoor activities, or a getaway weekend- I strongly urge you to take advantage of the history nearby in the mining villages.

And Rosemary makes a wonderful breakfast!
