If you're looking for a great place to eat while in Jim Thorpe or the surrounding area, your best bet is the Trattoria 903 on Route 903. The menu has something for everyone no matter what your preference and the food is always exceptional (and plentiful). Whether you sit in the bistro area, at the bar or in the dining room, it's a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. In the warmer weather you can also sit outside on the deck. It's a place the locals love and go back time and time again. That's the best endorsement a restaurant can have. Buon appetito!

We had a chance to eat at the new location on 903 and we really enjoyed our meal. We had been several times to the old location and we've taken out from the new location but this was our first time dining at the new place. Our reservation was honored with no wait at all, even though the place was almost full. The service was very good and the owner, Hassan, came to our table to ask if everything was satisfactory. The food was great, as it always is. The wine and beer are reasonably priced and the selection is good. We can't comment on desserts because we never have room (the food portions are large). Keep up the great work!

We have been to Trattoria before and always thought they had an interesting menu, different from other restaurants in the area. Of course, there isn't much else in this area to chose from.
We finished the small loaf of bread, which was good and the waitress asked if we'd like more. We said, "Yes", and she returned with two small rolls that were dried out (tasted as if they'd been reheated). When I asked if they had any olive oil, she pointed to a bottle on the table. It was disappointing since we're used to other Italian restaurants serving the olive oil with spices in it.
I was still looking forward to my entry thinking they were just having an "off" night. I had the stuffed shrimp over risotto. The shrimp was overcooked and very dry. I looked around for the waitress to say something, but no one ever came around to check on us. The restaurant was only 1/2 full at 7:30 so I don't know where everyone else was, so I just ate it. We won't be back.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the area on any given night, but once a year, Hasaan, the Moroccan chef/owner, throws down a Moroccan feast. Tonight was 9 courses for the unbelievable price of just $50 per person. Moroccan veg. soup (chick based broth w/ veg and chick peas); Flat bread platter w/ dips, including tabouleh, hummus (creamy as silk), and roasted eggplant; beef and veal kabobs; cous cous (fluffy as a cloud) and roasted veg; lemon chicken confit; braised beef w/ prunes and sesame seeds; roasted lamb (including the neck which is the BEST for after hours munching); paella; and to top that all off, baklava and coffee. OMG....everything was just over the top delicious. Every meal @ 903 is delicious ordinarily, but tonight's feast was the topper!! Packed house and no one looked disappointed!! I am a retired chef, so I kid you not.....this place is a must!!

We dined for the third time here. The food is absolutely delicious! We tried escargot for the very first time sautéed in garlic butter- fantastic! The house salads were $3 additional but well worth it. The whipped balsamic house dressing was wonderful. We had 2 specials of the evening- orange roughy, shrimp and sea scallops over linguini with white wine garlic sauce and dry rubbed rack of land with gnocchi, both excellent. Owner/chef is a constant presence in the dining room making sure service and meals are satisfactory. A very nice personal touch. No room for dessert this trip but we shall return! Leftovers to be enjoyed for lunch. Highly recommended!
