This was my first time whitewater rafting and it was quite an experience! The Lehigh River was really beautiful. The equipment was in OK condition, our raft had a small hole in it and was told it was no big deal. Hmmm? We brought our own life vests since my husband has done this before and complained of mildew on rented equipment. I overheard another rafter complaining about this very thing (she had rented a windbreaker and told her husband there was no point in going back to get another because they were all like that. Ew!) Back on track... We had fun rafting down the river, our guides were very nice and the bus rides were short. My biggest complaint would be that there were just too many rafts in the group. We spent more time bumping into other rafts (and rafters) that actually riding rapids. There were a few chances to hop out into the water while waiting for rafts that got behind, though once we saw a big snake in the water, we decided to stay in the raft! We alerted the guide who tried to see what kind of snake it was but it had swam into a crack in the wall. He didn't feel the need to tell any of the people who jumped in the water right there a few minutes later. This is nature and I'm sure it's fairly standard to have snakes all over, but I know if I was the one splashing around I would have liked to know! Overall, they were very organized and we enjoyed ourselves. There were plenty of reservation times and lots of customers... perhaps they should take out smaller groups! They would make a few less dollars but have happier customers willing to pay a little more to not be herded down the river with a giant group!

We did an afternoon of rafting - 2 adults and 5 children (aged 6 to 14). The leaflet had presented the activity as 'great fun for the whole family' but really it is only good for older children since rowingis required all the time and there is no time for little ones to try their hand at it. The worst, however, was the guides (in particular Dan). He seemed exasperated from first minute - was critical of every move one made and was obsessed with all rafts sticking together. Felt more like boot camp than holidays! The afternoon rafting is basically 4 solid hours of rowing, hardly any time for a swim... Pity as the river is so pretty.

Just got back from participating in the big day out and it was an amazing day! The big day out is a 25 mile bike ride, a 4 mile hike and a 10 mile white water rafting experience! From start to finish it was a great day! The guides Kayla, "Squirrel E Bird", Rich and Sue (our bus driver) were fun, informational and very knowledgeable! Everything is provided to you for the cost of the day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and water! Overall an awesome day and I would definitely do it again!

We hit one of the damn release dates and there were some tricky spots on the river but mostly from having so many rafts on the water... one gets bunched up and then there's a jam. The water itself wasn't too rough. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We loved this. Having cycled yesterday, we opted to do the family route and were not disappointed. Check in was very easy and the orientation session was delivered with much humour. Once on the water he guides were a great help in rescuing us when we hit rocks. Lunch was half way along the 8 mile stretch and the dogs and chips were tasty (& plentiful!). A photographer on the river meant we were able to take home a nice souvenir. Thanks!!
