They are constantly trying to keep this up to date and improve it. If you are in town, check it out. Not a destination worth traveling to, but worth a visit to pay homage to this great Native American.

Beautiful town with lots of neat little shops and eateries! Must visit the Packer Mansion and The Old Jail. Parking is available and everything is within walking distance.

“Worth seeing, but not much there”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

It was okay. Mostly a bunch of signs. A couple of statues and a grave. Parking was okay and it is well maintained, but you didn't really see much that you couldn't see in town. If you just want to do it for some pictures, it is worth the trip. But if you want to learn about Jim Thorpe, the museum is much better.

worth the short time it takes to see it.You can stop and visit while driving past or you're also able to see it from the train ride. A good way to make an impact on the man.

“Not in town”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

The memorial was a mile or so out of town. If you wish to continue north toward NY, don't follow your GPS from the memorial. Go back toward Jim Thorpe. Memorial is more interesting if you are aware of its contentious history.
