“Bed and Lunch visit”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

My wife and I were visiting Jim Thorpe for a concert and decided to stay at this business. The building is lovely and quaint. The rooms were fair sized, but dated. Considering that the building is in the middle of town, it was very quiet for sleeping. Now for the down side: You have to go through the bar to check in. Not a big deal, but with luggage, its a huge pain. Then you go back outside, go down a very narrow alley, which is filthy, pot holes, bar drainage etc. to get to the rooms. Now this is a shared bathroom setup for three rooms. In the bathroom guests have no cups, tissues and are expected to share cloth towels.....I had to use my hands to get a drink of water to take some medication...Really? This B&B cant afford some paper cups, towel dispenser? Then there is the bathroom door issue. IT WONT LOCK! Even with putting a heavy shoulder into the door, it can't be locked. So my wife and I would go to the bathroom together, so somebody wouldn't walk in.....No Excuse period. Now for lunch, we had fast and friendly service, the food was good, for being frozen or out of a bottle. And lets not forget the beer in plastic cups...Really? Please buy for glasses and maybe put the plastic glasses in the rooms for guests to use.

“Great place for lunch.”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We were in Jim Thorpe for a day and had lunch there before exploring the town. We sat outside and the food was excellent. Service was good. I would definitely go again if I'm back in that part of the world.

“It's ok.”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

There is really very little authentic Irish fare here. The deck seating is nice, although everything you get to drink is in plastic. The food was just ok. I guess it's geared more towards the tourists than being quality or authentic.
