This is a lovely hotel with beautiful top notch service. We had s few simple needs for help and assistance and all of the staff were v willing to help and assist with a smile.

We stayed on two airport trips and the rooms were v comfortable clean and really comfy beds.

Would recommend & stay again.

We've stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions ~ formerly The Mercure. During our visit over Easter it continued to deliver great service, a high standard in our room with comfy beds, a range of fantastic pillow options and attentive staff.
There were only two minor concerns i) the air conditioning unit in our room was clunky - the noise detracted from what I was hoping would be a 'sleep in' and ii) On Ester Sunday afternoon we were hoping to sit in the library/bar area to enjoy a beverage however it remained closed until well past its advertised opening time of 4pm. Strange given it was a holiday weekend in Sydney! We were able to sit in the newly renovated dining area where there is now a second bar but the ambience was not quite the same as sitting in the lounge area with the beautiful plush pink seats!.
The dining has been tastefully renovated - not sure though why so many seats unable to be used along the back wall at breakfast time. It would have been my preference to sit along the wall area rather than be directed to the small tables right near the buffet. Breakfast was delicious and a good array of baked items along with the usual hot fare. The only disappointment was when I tried to order some hollandaise sauce and smoked salmon from the buffet to have with my poached eggs - I was told by staff that hat wasn't possible - again unusual when there are so many international guests in residence.
Staff at all times were friendly and professional.

I am sorry that a couple of experiences did not meet your usual expectations.
Although the bar doesn't open until 4.00pm our guests are more than welcome to utilise this space to relax and unwind.
Regarding the air conditioning I have flagged this with our Chief Engineer to check the room in question.
I am sorry that you were unable to order the items you required for breakfast. I assure you that we normally cater for all guest requests when we can and I apologise we couldn't fill this request on the day.

The reason that it got 4 out of 5 is that when arriving by train there are not cabs available anywhere so one has to walk. That's not bad unless you have a lot of luggage. Also there are not a lot of choices on the restaurant menu. Otherwise great hotel, super helpful staff.

I am pleased to see you had a comfortable stay with us.

Whilst we are conveniently located close to Wolli Creek Station, I agree it is not an ideal walk if you have luggage with you.
For your convenience we have a shuttle service that runs to and from Sydney Airport for only $7 per person in each direction.
Please be advised that you can utilise this service to Sydney Airport, and then catch the train from there accordingly.

I am sorry if this was not highlighted as an option during your stay.

We stay at this hotel (which had a name change while we were away) several times each year, just a little out of the airport complex and close by Cooks River for a relaxing walk.
Beds are very comfortable and on this occasion we were very pleased to find the room made up as required when we arrived late evening after 24 hours of travel. (On a previous occasion we did not get to bed until 2am due to problems with the room, then had to be up again after a few hours.)
In the morning when we went to breakfast (which in itself was fine) the foyer was very noisy and there were several loud tables in the restaurant, so having been told we could choose where to sit, we went to the rear of the area, away from the noise. However, we were then told by another employee that we could not sit there so we had to sit near one of the very loud tables. A little annoyance perhaps, but we felt it should not have happened and I could have done without a headache to start the day.
On the second night of our stay, there was a loud noise which sounded like an air conditioner from around 12.30 until shortly before 4am. Our A/C was not on and we have not experienced this in our previous stays.
We did not experience a repeat of the previous day at breakfast, perhaps as we ate earlier.
Regardless of the relatively minor problems on this most recent occasion, we will be staying at this hotel several more times this year for the reasons mentioned in the first paragraph.
Regarding allocating an "average" score for service, in some areas service was excellent, but it was not consistent in all areas.

the hotel is just 5 mins drive from the airport.. walk across the park to get to the wolli creek train station that connects you to the city and anywhere you want to go. there is woolies which closes late & some shops lots along the way as well. Wifi is quick! rooms are spacious and comfortable, good for those on short stay and want to have a good rest after a long day! I definitely recommend this hotel for those on business or just want to be near the airport! Will definitely be back!
