The only problem with booking in advance is you have Several weeks or months to wait which is hard when you have Knightsbridge on the calendar.
Our 3rd stay in what can only be described as a little piece of paradise just on the outskirts of Wollombi in Laguna.
From the moment you arrive at the gates you feel the city wash away and a sense of calm wash over you.
The house is a little gem and so peaceful you really feel a million miles away from anything, we have stayed in the house in winter and in spring and it's amazing how cosy and warm in winter and just right in spring.
A well equipped house with everything you need, the master bedroom has the most comfy bed I feel like I'm in a hotel, great shower and kitchen well has all you need.
Always booked online with Michelle and Wayne who are nothing but helpful and hopefully we meet one day :)
We have stayed in many places in the Hunter region but since finding this property we have not stayed anywhere else.
Thanks for a great weekend and can't wait to get back hopefully in the not too distant future.
Kind regards
Rohan & Ann Newcomb
Great quirky cabin in the countryside a short drive from the wineries of the Hunter Valley. We had a wonderful stay over easter. The cabin has everything you need and more. I would definitely stay again.

Just stay still on the veranda enjoying your cup of tea or glass of vine and the nature will come to you: you will see the Kangaroos coming to feed almost all day, the fox coming out of the woods in the evening and crossing the paddock to check on the rabbits, the huge iguana returning from the muddy pont that is left from once a creek to the old eucalyptus tree and all types of birds feeding on the grass seeds.
At night the sky is breathtaking and inspiring, a must see for everyone, young and old.
We have stayed here twice! The second time we brought our relatives from the U.S.. They loved every minute of it! We have a resident kangaroo with her joey. There are neighbouring cows, goats, donkeys and lots of kookaburras. On Friday evening we went down to the local Laguna pub and met the friendly and interesting locals. We ate gorgeous meals every night cooked on the bbq. It was a great bonding experience for all of us! Waking up to the beautiful country side was so exhilarating. The house itself is so well made and unique- quality fittings, a Nespresso machine, lovely bathroom. We will return soon. Great for large families. Our poodle even joined us and loved it! Great find!

Busy Sydney has been our home for the last 4-years since moving from Canada. The prospect of a weekend getaway with friends and a pile of our kids (free from urban distraction, getting a little dirty, cooking over a fire.....) equated to BLISS.
The drive is scenic and direct, with lovely little shops and spots throughout its' surrounds. Plenty to explore. Laguna pub serves beautiful meals, and the neighbouring soap shop is quirky and fun. Wollombi (love this town!!) and other Hunter Valley hot spots are easy to access.
We opted to stay put most of our stay and enjoyed the beautiful valley view of the property. Kangaroos and cows came wandering through. We peered inside wombat holes and played, played, played! Kids ran free for once, bouncing on the trampoline, imagining in the cubby house, and making s'mores & damper over an open camp fire.
The cabin is a warm & welcoming art project. Every detail and piece of furniture has character, and exudes the purpose of this property....comfort, camaraderie, and the making of meaningful memories.
Thank you Michelle & Wayne
