Somewhere Unique is truly a magical getaway perfect for couples both young and old. The cabin is well designed, decked out with fab homewares and furniture plus all the little things (oil burner in the bathroom and plenty of candles plus books and CD's and bikes!!) - it was truly a magnificent long weekend away from my partner and I and we will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

These retreats are elegantly designed and luxuriously appointed with a wonderful attention to detail that makes you feel very well attended. But the best part is that your hosts are invisible, they leave you to your total privacy having fully supplied your retreat for self sufficiency enabling you to relax and recover from one's urban woes.

A beautiful location, quiet, private, NO CHILDREN, NO NEIGHBORS, NO DOGS.
Somewhere Unique is just that and more and for us it was an easy drive over from Port Stephens for two days of indulgence in this 5 star retreat where the owners seem to have thought of [just about] everything.

Would we return..? absolutely.....

What can l say about this place.

We drove up and said wow, we walked in and said wow and the moet champagne we ordered was chilled and the belgium chocolates were yummy.

Tea , coffee, and real milk, complementary wines, great bacon and eggs left for our breakfast as well as a full fridge of goodies.

Yes you can bring items as the fridge is full size, microwave and cook top which gives you flexibility which we did use ( stayed indoors lol)

Well on the down side if there is one is that its 20k away from cessnock, on the up side it is 20k away from cessnock!

The accommodation is second to none and very well appointed.

The bathroom is amazing especially the huge bath and rain shower. The kitchen is very well appointed and has all the essentials you would need.

The king size bed is great and the outlook is beautiful.

There is a BBQ love out door settings and beautiful candles for a romantic weekend.

This is a lovely place and l would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. The owners were lovely and answered every question put to them, quickly too!!

If you are wanting peace and quite, romantic getaway, or a place to just veg out this is the place.

Ps yes it has Internet if you need it(wireless router too) a good selection of DVDs some lovely music to complete your stay.

It does have bikes to ride, but you may struggle to ride up the driveway ( lol)

A magic place in a magic location!!!

Stayed here for part of our honeymoon trip.
The cottage is amazing, and all the personal touches made it even better!

Quality bath products, luxurious linen, gourmet cooking supplements supplied also just lifted everything to another level.

The bathroom is to die for, it's almost as large as the bedroom! HUGE bath, and also a spacious shower area with a large rain shower head.

Location is a medium drive away from the main area of Hunter, but hey, the Hunter region is quite large, so this is definitely not a negative.

Hopefully we will be back!

Dear MrMarvo.
Terrific to hear you enjoyed your honeymoon at Somewhere Unique - a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway. Sounds like you made great use of the bathroom and enjoyed a soak in the two-person bath! Although Wollombi is located 30-40 minutes drive from the main vineyards district, as you know there are a number of cafes and attractions in the Wollombi village, including the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail, so there are loads of options for things to do. We look forward to welcoming you again.

The house is amazing! Very cosy, very comfy, everything you need is there! The view and surroundings are beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful!

The bed is super comfy and the gas fire place is amazing in winter :) also love the shower and huge tub!
The house is located in a great spot, very private but only a minute away from town.

Very nice drive to the wineries too...make sure you check out the local boutique Wollombi wineries!

Very highly recommended!!!
