If you are looking for a luxurious escape (close to Sydney) put Wild Edge on your list of things to do.

The pavilions are beautiful (I have stayed in Nature's Mist & Wind Spirit), the owner Alan is a lovely man who goes the extra mile to make your stay special and I will definitely go back.

I highly recommend getting the dining options. I have ordered the Seafood platter, the BBQ platter and the fruit/choc fondue. All of it was amazing and you do not need to leave your pavilion to enjoy it.

Room Tip: Wind Spirit is incredible. It is the most expensive pavilion but worth it. It is incredibly privat...

Dear RhodyB
I was our pleasure to welcome you back to Wild Edge and even more pleasing to read how much you had enjoyed your weekend with us and also the platters you had ordered.

Also pleased to have received your email to advise you had taken my tip and visited Wollombi Wines and not only sampled, but purchased a case of their 'White Splash'.

We do love to have the interaction with our guests rather than the impersonal 'self check in' becoming more common these days and judging by the repeat business we are receiving, our guests seem to agree.

Hope to see you both again during the warmer months when you can enjoy the infinity edge pool!!

Best regards,

Alan

My partner recently whisked me away for a suprise romantic weekend to propose. From the moment we drove through the gates of Wild Edge Retreat I knew that this place was something very, very special. We are always on the look out for romantic and relaxing places to spend a weekend and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. We stayed in the Nature's Mist pavillion which was exceptional. The pavillion was spotless and the design of the accomodation incorporates everything needed for a romantic getaway. From the pool with daybed, to the 2 person sized spa and the fireplace absolutely everything you could possibly want is included. The views over the bushland and watching the mist rise up in the morning were a highlight. I also want to thank the owners who helped my partner with his secret proposal by filling our pavillion with masses of candles so when we returned from dinner in Wollombi I opened the door to the mot beautiful scene. This was truly the most magical place and I can't wait for my next weekend there! Do yourself a favour and book a stay, you will not regret it.

My husband and I recently stayed in the wind spirit pavilion which was amazing. The room was spotlessly clean, magnificent mountain views, We loved the 2 person spa bath with the bi-fold doors and The infinity pool was excellent with the day bed beside it, very private and relaxing. Our host Alan was lovely and couldn't be more accommodating we our every need. The BBQ platter was excellent and more than enough for us, The Ploughman's lunch was also excellent, just enough for lunch and the cheese platter was excellent, The romance package was more than we could have asked for with candles every where, the room was stunning. Words can not describe the experience that you will have staying at the retreat. We have already recommended the retreat to our friends and family and We couldn't have asked for a better getaway than this. We will definitely be back but for longer next time... Thanks again Alan for a lovely trip.
Belinda and Nathan.....

Room Tip: Any pavilion that you choose would be lovely.

We were booked for three nights at another tourist retreat in the Hunter, but after two nights we couldn't face a third. We were driving through Wollombi when we saw the Wild Edge Retreat sign and decided to drive up the road to see if they had availability.

Fortunately there was one Pavilion available. We were immediately impressed by the tranquility on arrival and the outstanding service. Considering ours was a last minute booking, everything was well above our expectation. The accommodation was AMAZING, CLEAN and RELAXING! We loved the scent of the oil burner, the music and the great breakfast supplies........everything was perfect.

This has been by far the best stay ever and we will highly recommend you to anyone.

Thank you so much

Andrew & Rebecca

Wind Song Pavillion, March 2013. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, romantic, and couldn't ask for more. If you want a romantic breakaway, this is the place to go. Plunge pool, candles, bose sound system, sunken bath with opening bi-folds and lovely views. The host Alan was great and couldn't be more accommodating. It is quite isolated and a dirt road into the property on the last 2.5km, only 4 pavillions, but if you plan it, there is nothing else you need. We even organised a helicopter through Slattery Charters to take us on a wine tasting hop - so didnt use the car the two/three days we were there.

Preordered food, and took a few bits and pieces of our own. Went out by day, and stayed in by late afternoon/night to soak up the atmosphere. We even organised a tandem massage which was done in our pavillion.

My second time at this place in a different pavillion, but they are all great, Wind Song is the premier suite.

Room Tip: Wind Song is the premier pavillion with a plunge pool. Natures Mist has a plunge pool too, the othe...

My partner & I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay in the Wind Spirit pavilion.

Wow, what a great experience.

The pavilion had every creature comfort, was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and completely private. The infinity pool was the big winner, it was simply stunning.

The view from the balcony was something else. The vista was mesmerising with views of rolling bushland in the foreground peppered with bountiful birdlife and the odd kangaroo hopping around, to distant mountain ridges at the horizon.

Nothing was too difficult for our host Alan, he was helpful and very informative about the regions attractions.

I would highly recommend Wild Edge Retreat and will be looking forward to a return visit in the not too distant future.

Brian & Mandy

Room Tip: Book the Wind Spirit pavillion in the summer to take advantage of the infinity pool.
