It's a little out of the way from other restaurants in Coolangatta/Tweed, but really only about 2 blocks walk from the beachfront and a block from Twin Towns. Make sure you book if you want to eat here on the weekends, as the place is busy and only seats about 24 people.

Despite some initial confusion over our booking, we were seated and served quickly. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The place was buzzing with lots of take-away orders as well as lots of people eating in.

I had the Veal Florentine and my husband had a chicken dish with avocado and prawns - both delicious. So nice to see a plate with vegetables on it and not have to pay extra (one of my pet hates!). We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but had made the mistake of having a garlic/herb bread beforehand (its a pizza base with loads of garlic, herbs and cheese), so we were VERY full after the meal. Sadly, we had no room for dessert (and they were only $7 each!).

It's BYO, which is great, and only $1 pp corkage! They also have kid's meals at very reasonable prices.

All round, a great value and delicious meal. We will definitely go back ... and go hungry!!

Stacatto is tucked away in a back street of Coolangatta/Tweed yet is often full of locals. All food made to order by chef Peter. Great range of great food, from Pasta to Pizza, at very reasonable prices. (BYO) One needs to book a place Thurs-Sunday to ensure you get a seat. Lots of people also coming in for take-aways.

We have dined at this restaurant on several occasions before and have never been disappointed. Veal and chicken dishes servd with lots of fresh vegetables - not always seen. The owner came to check how we were enjoying our meals.
BYO makes it great value for money.
