Located down lots of stairs at Candlelight Lodge this place is a good fun night out.
We come here every year for the fondue, although this year I had the Jaegerschnitzel, which was also good.
You can get cheese, meat and chocolate fondue so we started with the cheese fondue, dipping bread cubes on sticks into it and eating the cheese-laden result.
Then came the broth over kero burned where we speared the meat and stuck it in to cook, then added from a range of sauces and veges.
Finally we had the chocolate fondue, with mini marshmellows, strawberries & little peeled mandarin slices to coat in chocolate and pop into our mouths.
The children shamelessly run their fingers around the almost empty pot, but it is so good it is almost forgivable.
A great family night out, but be careful if the children are too small to be safely around open flames and boiling broth without close supervision - mine are almost all teenagers now.
