We didn't really know much about our accommodation except that the photos online looked nice.
The room was very much as pictured on the website.
Clean. Spacious. Modernish.
The bathroom had washing and drying facilities for clothes and towels which I am sure would be very useful for people staying longer than a few days.
The "ventilation" in the bathroom was non-existant and as such it took only a few short minutes for the room to fill with steam. We ended up propping the door open with the small bin in order to keep it relatively steam free.
The view was of the ocean, over a strip of shops. As long as your eyeline didn't drop too far you could appreciate the view.
When we first got to the hotel at about 1:45PM we were told that our room wasn't ready and that if we wanted to go and have a look around town we could and they would call us when it was ready. Fair enough as we had been told that check in was at 2PM. We saw enough of the town for the time to creep up to about 4PM and still no phone call. We headed back at this point and found that the young, disinterested, unorganised couple who had been manning the reception had clocked off for the day. Their replacement infored us that it had all been too confusing and she didn't know if she was meant to call us or we had been called so she rather conveniently decided not to do anything.
The next morning when we presented ourselves in the breakfast room with our continental breakfast tokens we were told in no uncertain terms that we were entitled to," 1 serve of cereal, 1 serve of toast and one serve of coffee!!!" Thats fine but do you really need to be a cow about it? After my rice bubbles, the healthiest cereal option they had, we decided to flush the rest of our breakfast tokens and find breakfast elsewhere for the duration of our stay.
On checkout my girlfriend was lucky enough to witness an arguement between two staff members in the reception area where one was being told in no uncertain terms that he would not be getting any overtime as he should have completed his work within the allotted time. Well i am sure that was the case however do you think that maybe you could show a little decorum in front of a paying guest?
The room was good value however the service needs a hell of a lot of work.
