This place had a very good reputation for its seafood but, based on our recent experience, not any more. We were overall very disappointed with the food. Our battered flathead, of which there was a generous portion, was tasteless and the batter doughy. Admittedly, the fish could have been crumbed or grilled, one of which would have to have been a far better choice. The chips were too soft, not quite cooked enough and consequently, no crunch!!!! The one saving grace was the calamari which was cooked perfectly.
Overall, not as good as expected. Doubt if I will go back as there are other options in Terrigal for this type of food.

This isn't just your ordinary local fish and chips shop, for one major reason: it serves up a mean grilled Cajun salmon. Having gathered quite the loyal following from locals and visitors alike, this salmon dish pleases with its hearty, heady and spicy flavours which are sure to transport many a diner to the heart of Louisiana. Those not wanting a taste of down south can content themselves with dishes such as mussels, calamari chowder (obviously reserved for colder days), or a slew of fish fillets grilled to patrons' precise tastes.

I normally am impressed by fine dining but myself and partner went to this simple little establishment yesterday and it exceeded my expectations so much compelled me to register and write a review. Had a mixed grill and partner had prawn salad. Food was tasty and plentiful. Don't get impressed to easily but walked away both saying really enjoyed that more than just at a take away level, it was a memorable feed. It's a feed not a night out but it's a real good one.

The service was very friendly and the meals were reasonably priced and fresh. The view was spectacular and it even had tables and chairs to sit and eat. Definitely met expectations. Will be returning next time we head to Terrigal.

Have visited this shop many times in previous years - never again!!! Imported fish 'parading' as flathead covered in doughy batter and with a taste resembling watery mud!! We ate 5 of the chips - they were tasteless! The potato scallops were delicious so if you have to go there, just order potato scallops! Told 2 young staff about the fish and they laughed as we left so we turned and told them the chips were even worse. $34.00 down the drain!!!
