Can watch restorations being undertaken. Beautiful premises. The displayed aircraft are fully described and in as-new condition.

Temora has the best working air museum in the country and a couple of times a month ,a selection of aircraft are showcased and a couple of times a year a full airshow is put on with flying Kittyhawks Mustangs Spitfires(watch the chase between the Kittyhawk and the spitfire if you get a chance and see why the Spitfire was a class above anything at the yime) A Boston Bomber,(i think) Catalina ,Harvards Ryans Yaks plus as a bonus the Airforce are there in some way or other .
If you have a choice make it to a full airshow day.As an added bonus, plane start ups are done close to the crowd.A must, and outside of Avalon the best airshow i have seen.

So I am the aviator widow (not literally he is very much alive) however like most aviator widows I do not always share my husbands enthusiasm. When in the Riverina recently we just had to go the museum. I was more than impressed despite the fact that it was positively arctic in the hangers. The volunteers (all women on the day) were so warm and knowledgeable the warmth must have rubbed off as I had a thoroughly enjoyable few hours. Loved the archival photos and footage and even enjoyed seeing the real things up close and personal. We have now organized a return visit on one of their flying weekends to truly experience it. Perhaps I've been converted. Perhaps?

The static displays were great - very professional, clean, with individual movies (on rotation) for each aircraft that featured archive footage mixed with recent footage of the planes flying from Temora.

Well done to the volunteers and patrons of the museum - not only having knowledgeable and passionate volunteers and a professional layout, but a desire to keep the planes flying. Regular flying days (every 1st and 4rd Saturday) mean an opportunity to take a short road trip, stay overnight and see some impressive planes still flying.

It's shame the weather closed out the flying, so that staff responded by opening the engineering hanger for close up view of some aircraft.

great place well worth a visit. Nice to see the old planes and all in working condition. It is a pity we did not visit on a weekend when the planes are actually flying.
