My Husband and I stayed here for one night for a wedding that was being held on site. It was a wonderful cabin, two bedrooms nice size bathroom and large living/kitchen area. We paid $140 for the night. The resort has all kinds of free activities like canoes, tennis and walking tracks. There is a small fee for the mini golf which for kids looked like a lot of fun.
The hosts were nice and the wedding venue was wonderful. I'd definetly stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here for two nights on the weekend.....it's a nice little place tucked amongst the woods just 2 minutes from tathra town.....has neat little cottages with two bedrooms ...one has a nice queen size bed and the other has three bunk beds......and there is a single bathroom in between...has a well equipped kitchenette with enough utensils and appliances to cook and store.there is a ice living area with free tv channels and a nice fire place...with wood provided to set up a nice cozy evening.

The resort has two options of rooms ....cedar and deluxe...the deluxe has australian cable and linen provided free of cost......otherwise configuration is generally the same.
The cedar costs you 115 per night on the weekend and we had the option of staying on for the third night free.there are some extra costs like 12 dollars per child 5-11 yrs of age and 10 dollars for linen per person.thou yo do have the option of getting your own linen. But what they give is worth it and sufficient towels and linen are provided.

The resort has a number of free activities like canoeing, archery, table tennis, tennis courts, basketball courts, mini golf ( this is paid 10 dlrs per family) which keeps you engaged for the day if you don't want to head down the coast.there is a swimming pool which kids will love...plus if you like nature walks then this is good.each room has a DVD player and you can borrow free DVDs from the reception ...

The only downside was that there was almost no mobile phone connectivity. Unless you had telestra....there was a pays one available . But on hind sight no cella and Internet was good as it gave you a nice time to connect with family. For meals if you want go to tathra town for a tie very close by or cook your own...but remember to buy your provision from bega town which has a Coles as tathra just has a few grocery shops which
Our check in was quite smooth and the folks were very helpful and provided us with maps and stuff to do n and around. We were riffed about all the activities and provided a bagful of wood . Very soon we had a nice little fire burning and warmed up our rooms.the cabin was very nice ...and the stuff was nice and well kept.

On the whole it was truly value for money ...though you will find a lot of motels in tathra town too...but this was cheaper..had a few stuff to do besides the beach and was just a stone' s throw away( not literally speaking). ....but about 2.5 km away ..

On the whole it was a nice and rejuvenating experience and we would truly love to come bak here again

Room Tip: Get your cooking provisions from home..if you intend to cook here as tathra town is more expensive t...

My husband and I stayed to attend a wedding held at the resort so can't comment on the activities etc. The cottage (deluxe) was clean and tidy - I would recommend choosing deluxe if you can. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - they put us in a cabin close to the reception area so we didn't have to walk far after the wedding finished. The surroundings were beautiful and it was a very enjoyable experience. If I was to complain about anything, it would be able to the noise (it was really noticeable when it was raining in the morning). Overall a good experience and we would stay there again.

It was a really lovely gesture of the staff to send a thank you card.

Kianinny Resort is located in Tathra on the south coast of NSW near to Bega. It has a choice of deluxe cottages, cedar cabins and motel suites, all surrounded by bushland. Our two bedroom deluxe cottage came fully equipped with all kitchen necessities including a coffee maker. Tea, instant coffee and sugar are provided, however in small quantities. You may want to bring extra. The cottage was clean though somewhat dated. There is parking alongside each cottage and a few parking spaces near to the Reception area. The resort has a pool, mini golf course, archery, play area with swings and the Sapphie Spa for those who would like to indulge in a bit of pampering. There is also a "pub bus" provided free of charge and on request to take you to/from the Tathra Hotel. Restaurant has great food and generous servings. Eat on the deck and enjoy gorgeous views of the beach. A couple of negatives - the resort does not provide much in the way of bathroom amenities (no tissues, etc) so bring your own. Also the pathways between cottages are poorly lit at night (bring a torch) as the area aound the resort is sloping and uneven. Overall it was a pleasant weekend stay and the beaches and views in the area are beautiful.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a deluxe cottage, they are more tranquil than the other accommodations.

We were a family group ranging in age from 7 weeks to 70 years who stayed for three nights. There are many things to really like about Kianniny - lots of things for children and adults both within the resort and close by. The cabins, the sports facilities and leisure activities are all well maintained. The wildlife was great with birds, water dragons skinks, ducks, dragonflies and wallabies abounding.
The cost per cabin per night was reasonable at about $220 per night with linen provided. There was no housekeeping during our stay.
Gripes: there is a prominent sign in the cabin advising that if the kitchen contents are not left as provided there would be an additional charge levied. There is no kitchen inventory provided which seems unfair. It certainly made communal eating a bit hazardous as we kept counting the plates and cutlery.
We were also not impressed with the criticism from a staff member that we had failed to clean the barbecue adequately - it was cleaned to the best of our abilities and surely with the group collectively paying around $3000 for the stay, an additional scrub could have been provided without the rant.

Spent a very enjoyable 5 nights in one of the Cedar Cottages. The cottage was quite comfortable and clean. The resort is set in bushland with a reasonable distance between each cottage. The wildlfe was awesome, sitting on the front porch enjoying a meal with the local wildlife was fantastic. The resort had a lot of activities that could be enjoyed especially Wombat Holes Mini Golf though we thought Par on Hole 10 could have been a bit higher.
