The first thing that I have to tell you is that this restaurant has changed hands within the last few weeks and It appears that this is he first review after the change of ownership.
My wife and I had an excellent three course meal (as has always been the case) on the first Sunday in May and it was all that it could be.
We added a focaccia topped with feta, olives and pesto (to share as an entree), to the two course lunch special, making it into a three course meal.
My wife had the pork belly for a main and was more that suitably impressed. I had the flathead in beer batter with hand cut chips, salad and homemade tartare sauce. It was great; I could have eaten the salad all day. We both had the passion fruit, crème brûlée for desert and it was tres yummy.
We had arrived without a booking and in retrospect we shouldn’t have. I noticed a slight hesitation from the staff before they showed us to our seats. It quickly became apparent that they had quite a lot of bookings for lunch and we were glad that they accepted us on short notice. Staff was attentive and our meal was delivered promptly, well presented and of generous proportions; neither of us could eat anymore.
We really should come more often than we have in the past.
