Great roaring fire and quirky friendly hospitality. Good value and quality breakfast. Coffee particularly and thankfully fabulous.

My friends and I had brunch here recently on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately they had run out of a few things on the menu so our choice was a bit limited. However, the food we did order was still decent. The person serving us was a little bit sharp with us though so it made us a bit uncomfortable and we felt we had to get out of there rather than sit and chat after our meal.

I met here for a lunch meeting mid week. It was quiet only one other table, service was efficient and friendly. Coffee to start was very good, nice and strong.
Ordered chicken burger, steak burger, Thai chicken salad around the table. Burgers were just the burger, the Thai chicken salad serve was large and enjoyed by those who had it. Another coffee to finish we were tempted by the cakes for dessert but we will save that for next time.
Second hand books also for sale along with some local produce, nuts, jams and the like.

A true hidden treasure. The lunch we had here was so good we planned our return journey around it as our refreshment break. Interesting books and produce to peruse, but the food and the wood fire were the deal breakers. When we stopped in again for a pot of tea on our way home the next day, we loved that the cups were warmed first. Lovely people, fresh and fabulous food, the sort of attention to detail that tells you these people are true 'foodies'. We will definitely go back again.

This cafe is great it has friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, the coffee is always top quality and the food is delicious! It has a cocktail bar, bookshop and frequently has live music. Also the local trivia competition is held there and is always a great night out
