The Junction Inn has prime position at the Raymond Terrace Wharf with lovely views of the Hunter River and it's supposedly the most upmarket pub in town. Meals are moderately priced and the menu contains what you'd expect from a pub, burgers, steaks, fish and pasta. They also do stonegrill dining. We just went for a mid-afternoon snack and ordered the Works Burger with chips. Very disappointed, as the meat patty was as bland as and could have done with a lot of seasoning. The bun went soggy after a while, the onions were bitter, the egg rubbery and overcooked. The burger cost $10.50. Another time we had the fillet steak which was nice and the sweet chilli chicken schnitzel - a big serve for the hungry. Service is ok and the atmosphere is good.
