My husband, John and I stayed at Birbubi Beach CP. On the first morning at 6.30 am, a group of 4 guys started their van right next to ours. I asked management if they could ask them to please park a few meters away and I was told "well what do you think I can do about it? It's not as if they deliberately doing it, geez."
I was gobsmacked. I said "no of course not, that's not what I meant..."
She interrupted me by saying "Look, is there anything else? There's nothing I can do about it ok?"
I walked away shocked.
My husband and I asked the chaps very politely if they could move their car and they apologized and moved it without fuss.
Then the next day, the shower went cold. I notified the lady at the desk in the office and she said "what? Which one? Where?" I said "in the ladies shower block, shower number 4. A tradesman was present at the time and and said "look love, they're all like that."
I said "But this water was cold, like the absense of any warm water at all, like the cold tap."
He groaned and said "yeah whatever, I'll look at it later."
The office lady didn't seem to register at all.
Later that day I went to the beach with hubby, came back and hoped in the shower again. Yep, freezing cold. I finally found the owner who promptly fixed it. Apparently nothing had been done, no job lodged, it was the first time he'd heard about it.
The owner was fantastic, but the rest of the experience was very bad. When the group of guys left, we had a group of 7 come in next door who were all talking loudly till 10.20pm. I was going crazy. We asked them to please keep the volume down and eventually they complied.
Not only that but there is constant noise. Lawn mowers, groups of kids screaming, people talking loudly, four wheel drives driving past outside your window, leaf blowers, skateboards, teeangers talking loudly at 11pm outside your window, dogs barking....
I officially lost my sanity at this place.
