Enjoyed our short stay here. Would have loved to have stayed longer as it was so relaxing. The cabin was clean and tidy and the location just perfect for the beach and shops of shoal bay. Would recommend to anyone. Though we stayed in a villa, the camping and caravan spots and amenities looked great. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Called in to Port Stephens on way home from Qld in February and decided to stay a few days. The Catalina cabins at Shoal Bay Holiday Village were just perfect. Right across the road from the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants, a good club down the road and numerous attractions to chose from. Excellent customer service and the price was a surprise as they had a stay three pay two nights special. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay off season, I reckon it would be very busy in peak season!

Room Tip: Visit in off season to enjoy the tranquility, take a bicycle to enjoy the local biketracks.

After staying in 15 different caravan parks on my trip I have to say that this caravan park was my favourite!! The staff are so friendly, the amenities and facilities are absolutely awesome and the price for camping is such a bargain. Great location!! across from an amazing beach and shops. I visited here twice on the same holiday up the east coast and will definitely be back again yay :)

This was the second of many parks we stayed in when we spent 6 weeks caravanning and I think it still wins the prize for the best amenities block. No matter what time of day, they were always clean, music playing quietly and ceiling fans which helped with the summer heat and steam from the showers. We chose this park as they allowed us to have our large dog with us. It is across the road from Shoal bay beach, 5 mins walk to shops, eateries etc with plenty of walking opportunities around the bay, a beautiful area for a holiday. On one of our many walks we spotted a pod of dolphins so close to the shore they were nearly beaching themselves whilst playing. We were also quite surprised to find rabbits running around the park (luckily our dog is well-behaved) which was nice for us Queenslanders to see.

Room Tip: The esplanade is a busy road (especially on the weekends) so if traffic noise bothers you ask for a...

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Outrigger unit. Plenty of space well equipped kitchen, we had 3 bunks which the kids loved. Very clean & comfy. Nice and roomy for a family of 5.
Straight opposite the beach, walk to the shops and hotel for a great meal. BBQ area was used to great effect as was play area. Pool would be a great addition or more kids equipment. (jumping Pillow, rent bikes?) With beach there kids had a ball.
Manager on arrival very accommodating to get is in the right Villa to ensure we were settled quickly and easily. As was check out.

Room Tip: Try and get a Villa closer to the water or next to BBQ area.

We stayed in an ensuite van site for a 3 day long weekend. The sites are quite large and have 2 concrete pads plus a grass area. The ensuite is a great little idea, and was large and clean. The location of the park makes it very easy to walk to the shops, the beach, or the Country Club Hotes (also very worthwhile).
We very much enjoyed our time here. The only negative was the amount of rabbits on the site (my daughter thought this was a positive NOT a negative).

We stayed in one of the new Catamaran units. They are very well designed with comfortable beds. The plunger and plunger coffee provided were the touch that marked this out for us. Right across from the beach. Say no more,
