“Endless Dunes”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

The water was freezing BUT the view across the dunes pretty unique... like a desert oasis!

“Globally unique!”
Reviewed February 6, 2012

You can see lots of sand dunes in the middle east or the Sahara - but this place is like no other. The 'western' world is on your doorstep and lots of dunes - right beside the Pacific Ocean.

“good fun”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

Went on a 4WD tour with Moonshadow people who arranged for us everything over the phone, no paperwork. The drivers onsite were knowleadgeable and pleasant. Sandboarding was fun for all of us, they took us twice there (subject to available spots in the bus) despite the bad weather that day. Unbelieveable mass of sand between the rainforest, beach and humidity. Recommended to see.

“weird and wonderful place”
Reviewed January 14, 2012

you must take a 4x4 suv for this trip, this is miles of sand dunes just like a desert, very isolated with the odd ship wreck dotted about, great fun driving in and out the dunes.
