The hotel is rather old but generally, standard facilities are fine. One of the lighting in the room wasn't working and I called reception about it. they could only fix it the following day. (not very impressed with that) Good thing that my rate included breakfast. Normal continental breakfast. You will need to pay extra if you would like hot breakfast. We were quite happy with the continental breakfast though.

I arrived as part of a group of people staying overnight for a wedding nearby. I had booked a room for 1 adult and 1 child in case my little grandson needed to have somewhere close by to have a nap during the reception. There was a very small "main bedroom" and another very small sleeping area had been created by partly partitioning off an area from the main room. The partition did not extend to the ceiling however. The furniture was a basic cane dining table and two chairs and a small two-seater sofa. All very tired-looking - especially the TV, which I did not use so cannot comment on. One switch controlled all lights in the unit so I would have had to sit in the dark if my grandson had actually needed to have a nap in the single bed. There was a tiny balcony which looked over a tin roof (which I later realised must have been the roof of the kitchen). My sister's room had a better outlook with direct access to a garden area but I consoled myself with the thought that really all I needed was somewhere to sleep after the wedding reception. I got NO sleep that night! There was annoying noise from people walking up and down the metal exterior steps which were only a couple of metres away from the room. The high bedroom window was only covered with a sheer nylon curtain which did very little to dim the light coming from the bright exterior lighting. The room was almost light enough to read. Partway through the night I moved into the single bed as that area was a bit darker. I prefer a firm bed but both beds were rock hard even for my taste. The air-conditioner was antiquated and too noisy to have on during the night. Midway through the night I opened the "balcony door" to let some fresh cool air in - unfortunately this also let in the overpowering smell of cooking bacon at about 6am! I checked out at 7.00am and won't be going back.

Room Tip: I would assume that rooms on the 4th or 5th level would be better - a lot of steps to walk up and do...

This hotel is rather old both in external appearance and within the rooms. It could do with a good makeover both externally and internally. Access to rooms is poor (a lot of uphill walking even to access the lift as the lowest level for the lift is level 2 even though reception is at ground level). Parking is totally inadequate and it is difficult to find a park anywhere near your unit; we regularly had to park 4 levels down the hill in a street level carpark quite removed from any of the rooms and the area is poorly lit. The breakfast room has spider webs internally and externally on the windows and these remained uncleaned during the total 4 days of our stay.. The menu in the dining room is very limited and remained unchanged during the 4 days of our stay. I spilled chips on the floor of our room one evening and these scraps were still on the floor when we returned after our next day's outing; the floor obviously hadn't been vacuumed that day at all. In our opinion this establishment is far from the normal standard expected of an Accor establishment. We won't be staying there again
