We have twice brought overseas family here and we really enjoyed the rainforest surroundings and the beautiful, comfortable wooden dwellings. The hosts are very friendly and professional. You'll love it....

We stayed one night in the Cottage. We agree with everything previously written about the graciousness of the hosts and the beauty of the place. Two small warnings. The "toilet" in the cottage is a "composting toilet," i.e., no water, a hole in the ground, and is on the porch of the cottage. It didn't smell much but had a lot of bugs. The roof is metal and makes a lot of noise as it warms when the sun hits it--no issue unless you want to sleep later. Wifi didn't work well, but Mac is working on it. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place.

Room Tip: If you want a flush toilet, choose the "Guest House" rather than the cottage.

Being an eco friendly establishment we do understand that some have a reluctance to using new age composting toilet, and have decided to only offer our other Cottage from now on, which has a flush toilet. 9th Sept. 2014

We had only booked for one night but certainly could have stayed longer. it is so picturesque peaceful and quiet that we did not want to leave. The cabin we stayed in was lovely very rustic and with a wonderful wood burner to make the room so homely. the bedrooms spacious clean and comfortable. The sauna is great a proper wood fired one and a cold dip in the pool just finished the evening off. Suzanne and Mac are friendly and helpful perfect hosts. look out for the amusing road signs telling you,you are getting close to the farm a great idea. Will certainly go again if we ever in the area

Thank you so very much Mac for making us feel so at home as soon as we arrived. Fire was lit and all questions answered with friendliness. Your space there is beautiful and will definately come back to visit. Friends love my new creative coffee mugs, bowls that you hand crafted yourself. The sauna was fantastic, the pool clean and the beds warm as toast. Everything worked and couldn't fault same. Just be aware of the road that leads and dont let that put you off making your journey to this amazing accomm. Only 5 k's out of a great space to go for clothes and yum vege food. People so friendly. Blessings, Sonja

Room Tip: Try to stay in the Cottage as you get to use the sauna, pool etc.

I loved every minute of my stay here. I went to Black Sheep farm for a felting workshop which was really fun although I had never done anything like it before. Suzanne,Mac and their girls are a beautiful and friendly family who will make you feel right at home.

I stayed alone in the cottage on the hill which had the most amazing view down the valley. Wallabies relaxed on my front lawn and the bird life was beautiful as well. This is a very peaceful place to stay. The other house on the property has its own pool and sauna but my little bit of private paradise on the hill was perfect as it has the stunning views.

Mac lit the fireplace for me which made the cottage really cozy on the cold night, I loved the loo with a view and the shower with a forest view. I would definitely recommend this one to the Trip Advisor community. It is only a 10 minute drive to town but you feel a million miles away from civilisation. (Even royals have stayed here but I will not name them for their own privacy).

Room Tip: Both places there are lovely
