“For the fussy!!!....... Exceptionally clean, spacious, and unbelievably great value!”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Nelson's Bay best best kept secret! This place is a must to stay! Booked a 3 night stay in room 47 - November 2012 for our 25th Wedding Aniversary and was not disappointed, this spacious well kept appartment ( as is all the apartments I'm sure) had everything we needed! My husband and I are extremely fussy when it comes to cleanliness, and we couldn't fault this one and we've stayed at a few resorts! Just a short walk to Coles, and not far from the Marina with plenty of cafe's and Resturants to choose from. We had cool weather at time of stay, but still got to enjoy a swim in the pool as it was heated! Reception staff are very pleasant and accommodating, nothing is a bother for them, they really go out of there way to insure your stay is a great one! Well ours was above all expectations, and we'll be booking again!
Thanks for the great get away Cote D'Azur!

We stayed here for a 2 night stay in October 2012. We had a 2 bedroom unit with no view. The unit had everything you needed in a self contained accommodation. Even undercover security parking. great value for money. Some parts of the unit needed small repairs but nothing that affected our stay. Handy to restaurants and marina. We were able to walk everywhere. The only thing missing was free wi-fi.

Room Tip: if a water view is not needed ask for unit 6

We rented unit 21 for 2 nights. In reality it wasn't the "luxury apartment" that was advertised on the website. There are only 2 of us but I liked the look of the place so booked the 2 bedroomed apartment. As these are privately owned I guess some apartments are better than others and the other reviews suggest this. We must have had the same apartment as the previous reviewer - the white leather sofa was not great and should have been replaced before renting out. The curtain in the bedroom was threadbare too and let in light. However, the rest of the apartment was OK. A map would be handy as it took us a while to find the swimming pool. sounds like some of the other apartments were nice and would be great for families but I wouldn't stay again.

Hi Emma,
Thank you for your review.
As explained in a previous response, The lounge in question was replaced on the 24/10/12.
New Photos of the lounge will be available with the launch of our new web site in the very near future.
The "threadbare" curtains you mention is now under quotation for replacement, please note I could not find the threadbare area you speak of, only 2 broken clips which where replaced immediately when reported.
We appreciate the idea of a map of the complex.
We are disappointed by the news of your non return to Cote D Azur, but as you may have read in all of the past reviews, the positive comments of our wonderful complex far out way the negotive.

Kind Regards,
Brad & Carolyn- On-site Managers

My husband and I were delightfully surprised with the quality and value of this accommodation. We had turned up at the front desk with nowhere to stay in Nelson Bay and were immediately able to secure a three bedroom apartment immediately. There was absolutely heaps of room and every amenity provided. We also had a distant but beautiful view across Port Stephens to Hawks Nest and Winda Woppa. We will be going back.

These apartments were not built for holiday accommodation so they include things like lots and lots of storage, large kitchens (with 900 ovens) and the apartments are just huge. For the money this is real value - clean, well maintained and management is really amenable - They even lowered the price in recognition that we were only two people renting a three bedroom apartment. When we visited the local tourist information centre we were told by the assistant "That is where I put my family when they come to town".

We stayed there earlier this week for 3 nights. Off season apparently - the place appeared to be almost empty. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it was HUGE, well decorated and had everything you could possibly need, other than a plug for the basin and a hairdryer. Mind you, I mentioned the hair dryer to the receptionist and was immediately given one to borrow. She also went out of her way to try and find a fishing charter for my brother when we mentioned we were having problems finding one ourselves.
The unit had easy access via lift from the carpark and the location was almost perfect, close to everything. The only downfall was the noise both internally and from the street. The unit was so big it echoed down the hall - literally. Any noise in the kitchen could be clearly heard from the bedroom at the back and I could hear the squeaky door in the unit above quite clearly. We were on the 1st floor overlooking Donald street - too low to see the water view, and the traffic noise was loud, especially with the buses. Didn't try the heated pool as there was no shade over it and I didn't want to get boiled alive.
Aparently the best deals are for 7 nights through their own website - or so the manager says anyway.

Room Tip: Don't have a room overlooking Donald Street - it is the bus route so quite noisy.

We stayed here for a few nights on a cold and rainy weekend, so I can't comment about the pool area. Our unit was at the front of the building, overlooking a shopping centre carpark, and then on to distant views of the bay. Pleasant enough. Access from the street to the lifts is via the underground carpark which was a little weird. No actual foyer. Our apartment was huge, and clean and comfortable, but the one thing which let it down was the worn and threadbare lounge suite. We covered it with blankets so that we didn't have to look at it. Not what you expect when you pay $240 a night for two people.
