We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (unit 10) during the NSW October school holidays. We were very impressed with the accommodation, the unit was very clean and well appointed. The two bedrooms were a good size, although we were a little puzzled that the built-in wardrobe in the second bedroom didn't have any shelf space at all - seemed like a strange oversight. Bathroom and kitchen were very modern and of a high standard.
The layout of the apartment complex is a little strange, there are multiple lifts that only service particular apartments, so you need to make sure you access the correct lift (it is marked on the keyring provided by the complex, which does make it easier). Some of the carparks in the underground carpark are small or difficult to get into, and there is an allocated carpark for each apartment. If you happen to get a difficult carpark (like the one for unit 10, which is a sharp right turn immediately after the ramp to the second level) and a large car, you'll need to take some time parking your car safely. Additionally, finding your way in and out of the apartment complex can be confusing, all apartments face inwards to a central courtyard, and there are only a couple of exits from the complex. We had a number of guests ask us during our stay how to exit the complex. Once you know where the exits are, it's quite convenient getting in and out of the complex. There are no fire escape maps on the inside door of unit 10, which would make things difficult if you weren't already familiar with the complex layout.
We used the heated pool, and it was an excellent setup, with a shallow wading pool seperate from the main pool. We also visited the gym, which had very modern and well kept equipment, and saw the sauna which also appeared to be well kept and clean.
The location is excellent, a very short walk to the local supermarket, and walking distance to the marina.
Be aware that these apartments are unserviced for short stays, and you are expected to leave the apartment clean, especially the kitchen (everything washed and put away) and the carpets/tiles (no excess sand), otherwise an additional cleaning charge is threatened. There was a vacuum cleaner in the unit to help with this, but it had a frayed electrical lead, which meant it was too dangerous to use - fortunately we didn't bring any sand into the apartment.
Overall, we would highly recommend these apartments, and will be back for another stay in the future.
