“Return visit- great lunch offer in the sunshine”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

This was a return visit- the resort is now independent from Peppers but we didnt notice any change in the restaurant. Still good service and good value menus. We did the lunch menu which allows you to be flexible on 2 or 3 courses which includes a glass of wine. At the weekend its $40 for 2 courses or $50 for 3. We shared the mezze plate for starters- delicious tasty dips especially the pumpkin, then had the catch of the day, salmon fillet with roasted pumpkin, bacon and cherry tomato and then shared the sticky toffee pudding. The food was well presented, generous portions and we felt the offer was exceptional value, the catch of the day alone would have been $35! The staff were friendly and attentive. They were very kind to set us up a table on the terrace after a surprise sunny day. We really enjoyed our lunch and would definately recommend to others especially for lunch to make the most of the marina view.

“Helpful staff”

Impressed by the service, the food and the atmosphere. Liked having a dairy free dessert option with the Tapioca and coconut pudding with pineapple.

“Best dining in the Bay”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

My husband and 2 friends dined here this week and we were so very impressed. Venturing out on a cold and rainy night was not the best start to the evening but that was soon forgotten. Pleasant, attentive staff that were knowledgeable about the food and service that was prompt but not hurried. We started the night with fresh home baked (in house) rolls then they were followed by a complimentary appetiser of fried wonton wrapped fish with a delicious sauce - an unexpected bonus. The entrees were varied but all excellent including confit duck, chicken and prawn entrée and goats cheese ravioli. My main was melt in the mouth wagu beef, my husband had a medley of pork and our friends thoroughly enjoyed their ocean perch. The dessert was a crème brulee with a refreshing sorbet. Perfectly match wine complimented a delightful meal and as a result I have shared this experience with anyone who would listen! Without a doubt the best dining experience in the bay and one for your “must do list”

“Wonderful dinner for The Mother in Law..”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Lovely restaurant, setting is beautiful & peaceful. The waitstaff were good, however my drink order didn't come exactly as requested, but nothing to complain about. Our orders were taken timely, the menu explained well (my mother in law is a coeliac). We recieved complimentary tasters which were lovely. All our main meals were great, my partner & my mother in law both had the pork belly & cheek which they had no complaints about & said was very nice. I had the lamp rump which was cooked just perfectly pink, the meat was juicy & tender, my father in law had the barramundi which he said was lovely & cooked well. We did have to call over the waitstaff on 2 seperate occasions to order more drinks. I had the sticky date for desert, a must do as it was beautiful, very sweet, but so lovely, a perfect way to end the meal. My mother in law had the tapioca for desert & said it was lovely & very cleaning after her pork belly. All in all a great end to great Mother's Day, will definately be back for another round soon!

“Fantastic Food!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

My husband and i had read numerous reviews about this place and wanted to experience a quality restaurant. The food was surprisingly good, great quality of food, presentation was great. We choose the 3 course which gave you a bottle of Kapuka Pinot Noir and this cost $140. We struggled to get through the main which meant we didnt finish the dessert. Servcie by the girls was good however they forgot to take away cutlery, old glasses on our table and left the lid on our bottle of wine and forgot to top us up as the night went on. Each waiter asked us (and everyone else) how is the meal going, are you happy but it was overload - better to be more attentive and know what your customers are doing then talking to them all the time - there was also a friendly cockroach running around during the evening. Overall worth giving the menu the shot.
