We went there on the off chance as we were only in town for the night. A quite night with not many patrons. Service was good, I was looking forward to some local seafood but couldn't bring myself to pay $38.00 for a dozen oysters. They food we had was very nice, serving were a good size. Overall very good, however I thought a little expensive.

What a beautiful place!
We were lucky enough to be fitted in on a night that was very busy and we had no reservation. Although we just walked in the staff were very accommodating and helpful.
The meals were very filling and were delicious with great portions. They were presented perfectly.

This is not an RSL bistro, do not come and expect cheapie fish and chips. Instead, bring a bottle of wine and have a relaxing night eating delicious gourmet food.

We went there early on a wet November evening, and were seated by a charming young waitress. She explained that the oysters are from the local farms and were shucked that day. We shared a plate of natural, to see just how fresh they are, and yes great. But at $38 a dozen the price is over the top for a locally farmed product, with a dipping sauce which tasted exactly like one that I have made from the Women's Weekly Cookbook.
For mains my partner had prawns and whiting in a bread crumb batter, deep fried (too long), with a sesame dipping sauce and chips. The whiting was fresh, but the prawns could easily have been from China, hopefully not though, as they were over cooked and the freshness debatable.
I had a very nicely cooked flounder, which was very fresh and came with a nice macadamia sauce, chips and a small green salad. It was a treat to eat, very tasty, but so it should have been for $37.
But as others have said in their reviews, the prices are steep, service good, and when we left the main room of the restaurant was full.

The food was excellent with great variety to choose from. The venue was quiet and our meals were superbly cooked and presented. Will return again.

Food was ok and the owner/chef was friendly. But meals were expensive - all mains more than $30 except for vegetarian and the food while good was not outstanding so as to justify such prices. And served by a waitress who didn't want to be there! Not rude but her manner was one of boredom. Either that or she was in pain. In which case I apologize.
