“Busy cafe that the locals seem to love”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

Was on a day trip from the northern part of the gold coast and a local pointed us in the direction of this cafe. Great meal. .. and if they have it try the banana cream pie. Yum

“Our favourite cafe in Murwillumbah”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

We visit family in Murwillumbah and always insist on going to the Sugar Beet Cafe, the menu has some great choices, especially for breakfast but anytime during the day. The freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices are delicious too, had the Comet juice which gives you a healthy start for the day. The cakes are very yummy and we have tried a few over the years!

“Country Caf is hard to Beet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Went as a result of TA reviews. Didn't need to check where it was - the crowd was a tell tale.
Heaps of side-walk tables which extend past two shops (one closed during the day). Half the outdoor area has bistro blinds.
The two waitstaff were charming. Very efficient. Water for the table - perfect.
Peruse the menu and look around to see what was on offer. Wanted eggs but menu says not after noon. But at the counter, we're told a change of heart now - brekky all day (someone please change the menu).
Two serves of "bacon, poached eggs, and tomato on multi toast" - as described on the menu.
Meals arrive quite quickly. Tomatoes and bacon have been roasted (and IMO bacon in the oven a tad too long - it's super crispy). Eggs nicely cooked sitting on (what looked like) two halves of a toasted hamburger bun (not multi toast as menu'd). I know the comments here are pedantic but the overall result of lunch was very good.

Good menu, food fresh and lovely and the organic coffee, try to stop at one! Service is great, so all in all, a cute little place to savour good coffee.
