We had our vegan wedding here on July 13 2013 and it was absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful and natural atmosphere. We had our wedding up on the hill near the secret cabin. Peter and Charlie were so accommodating and prepared a fantastic vegan lunch menu for us. We booked out all of the accommodation and it was faultless and beautiful. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice quiet and natural weekend away.

Room Tip: The Farm house is massive and is so beautiful. The dairy cabin has a beautiful bathroom with a glass...

Went for the farm house this time and couldn't fault anything. Off season mid week in winter for 3 nights & got a good deal. Farm house lovely but no internal stairs to lower bedrooms so a bit scary for little kids but lots of couches in living areas so all good. Loads of dvd's provided and all mod cons.

Had lunch in the restaurant this time and while it was pricey it was really lovely. (Just note you're supposed to order at a counter.)

Dishwasher & washing machine in farm house. Firewood also provided. Still lovely civilised 11am check out and yummy breakfast ingredients included.

Everything you could need to buy is up the road in Murwillimbah.

Hope to go again soon.

We stayed at The Old Dairy Cabin loved the indoor outdoor bathroom the cabin, comforatable queensize bed & comfy lounges the cabin has everthing you need to cook a great breakfast and the produce supplied is all of good quality & fresh and for coffee lovers you even have your own Nespresso machine (Capsules supplied). Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worst and we were not able to cross the causeway & bridge but Peter & Charlie made sure we had everything we needed. We had a lunch & dinner in the restaurant which was fantastic great choice on the menu and a great wine list.

It was truly amazing and I really recommend that everyone tries it and plus you can go climb the famous mount warning a few kilometres away. The cabins are fantastic and I must say I love playing with the chickens and collecting their eggs.

We stayed in "the dairy" which was lovely esp. Indoor/outdoor bathroom.

Double bed v comfy but 2nd bed pull out couch very uncomfortable and mattess badly needs replacing.

Gorgeous (self heat) vege dinner & breakfast supplied. Premises unmanned mon-tue as restaurant not open till mid week. However staff still mouching around grounds in morning which kinda ruins the tranquility.

Check out not till midday (unusual for Oz) but u need the time to hand wash dishes or it's $100 fine. Personally I found it a bit of a burden as I had 2 small kids to entertain also. Yes we should have have done it the night before but hey we all need a holiday from washing dishes especially when paying top dollar to begin with.

Think 2 nights would be more beneficial as a guest so you could really relax (and keep on top of dishes!) but I would recommend and would stay again.

Seemingly everyone in Northern Rivers loves Mavis' Kitchen.
It's easy to see why, with its' homestead feel, and National Park location.
The excellent menu, complemented by a well priced wine list, and friendly efficient service, make it a stand-out destination.
The breakfast trays are particularly good!
