To have Thai food this good locally in a small town like Mullumbimby Is awesome, I've never eaten Thai food in Thailand but this would have to be the closest. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Friendly staff and amazing food,
I have eaten Thai food at restaurants all over Australia, some that have won prestigous awards and Spice it Up is simply the best. The Chicken Penang is outstanding and is my favourite whilst the Duck Salad is my wifes. The Baked Schnapper is a signature dish and my grandchildren just love it. The entrees are fresh and flavoursome, all course servings are ample which means that we never have enough room to try the desserts
Good food at good prices.
Congratulations chef Matt and your staff.

I went to Spice it Up last night. Being a club, you have to sign in and, to a first-time visitor, the signage explaining this seemed a little unfriendly, particularly as I was ignored at the desk by the staff. However, once it became obvious that no one was going to come and handle the sign-in process, I just went up to the bar and asked (apparently the bar staff were pulling double duty). Once I proceeded to the restaurant, the service was much better.

Food - the spring rolls were fresh, hot and tasty, although personally I would've preferred a vegetarian version. For a main course I had the Chili & Basil stir fry with beef, which smelled wonderful and was very nice. Desserts were more Western, though - a choice of flourless chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and sticky date pudding. I had the sticky date pudding, which was actually a cake and served with icecream, and was nice and moist and quite light in texture for a sticky date. Serving sizes for all courses were ample.

Service - fairly quick, and very cheerful and polite.

Prices - average restaurant prices. Entrees were around $7 - 11, mains from about $14 - 20, desserts $6-90.

Dress code - the signage indicates a dress requirement but judging by some of the other customers in the restaurant at the time, it doesn't appear to be enforced.
