Crystal Castle is a destination in itself. Fully equipped with its' own crystal shop and cafe, there's mazes and gardens, labyrinths and ginormous sculptures. It really is surreal. You can tell it's been created with passion and love. Tip: Leave yourself plenty of time as this is at least a half a day or a full day experience and great for the whole family, all ages can enjoy this place

I had not visited Crystal Castle in over 20 years and was surprised to see what has been done on the site. When I last visited there was only the main building and if memory serves it was more of a wholesale outlet for crystals. I was impressed by the lovely gardens the Blessing Buddha and the World Peace Stupa. We walked through the gardens for about an hour just enjoying the day. There is a café that overlooks the valley and there are crystals and books for sale in the gift shop. There is an entry fee of $18 that seems a little high however seeing all of the work that has been done over 20 years you can appreciate the need for a fee. Nice drive from Byron Bay, worth a trip to explore the area.

Hi Star Trekers, thanks for the great review, and your great photos. I'm glad you came back after so long, we've been very busy for the past 20 years working on creating a peaceful place. You're right, when we started, we just lived there and it was mostly for wholesale crystals, but more and more people kept hearing about us and kept knocking on the gate, and the rest is history… :)

We arrived at Crystal Palace not sure what to expect and really enjoyed each element of what was on offer. It is a very quiet, serene place, promoting world peace. The statues were in lovely settings which really enhanced the experience. Food at the restaurant tasted lovely and was very affordable. We shared two Baguettes, chicken with pesto and vegetarian and they were served with a small fresh side salad. After lunch I had a short nap on a bench in the shade. At 3.10pm we participated in a free meditation to the sound of quartz bowls being tapped which created beautiful sounds. It was a wonderfully relaxing experience.

If you are in Byron Bay for a holiday and have a car - then its worthwhile going and having a look at this.

Its got a nice relaxing atmosphere, you can lounge around and read a book or go to the cafe or take plenty of photos. Pathways to walk around. It has no religious bias attached, you will work this out shortly after arriving. Being a place of crystals, there is plenty at their shop and pricing is not over the top for such products.

Fee: on their website
Tip: work out how to get there before going. Bit of driving and a few turns that if you miss you won't find it.
