We enjoyed a delicious meal and great service at this restaurant upstairs at the Adelaide Hotel, Moruya. We would thoroughly recommend it.

The Balcony Restaurant Moruya is in new hands. We were part of a large group of friends who attended the opening of the new restaurant recently. It is now known as Sid & Sue's Balcony Restaurant and is on the 1st Floor above the Adelaide Hotel, which is the first hotel on the left when crossing the bridge heading into Moruya on the south coast of NSW. Take the first turn to the left from the highway after the bridge and there is a large carpark at the rear of the hotel. The stairs to the restaurant are inside the hotel but there is disabled access via a lift which can be used by speaking to the bar staff. The young couple who are running this restaurant are concentrating on local seasonal food and wine and providing a good range of well-cooked meat and seafood dishes at very affordable prices. There aim is to cater for families and groups. The menu is a well-thought out range of modern Australian dishes with plenty of food on the plate. I can thoroughly recommend the entree of Eden Black Mussels cooked in a tomato based sauce. They were tender & juicy. We were a group of 11 adults who tested the full range of foods on the menu. That night they offered a special of either an entree & main or main & dessert for $35, which was great value. All at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal as well as Sue's friendly and happy service. In daytime, the view from the restaurant is excellent with an uninterupted view over the Moruya River with much local birdlife.

We stayed in the rooms at the hotel which were fantastic value for money. The variety on the menu was good, drinks were reasonable and the food tasted fantastic. The views over the river were also great!

First the address is incorrect. It is now situated on the first floor of the Adelaide Hotel, cnr Princes Hwy & Shore Street, Moruya. Their telephone is [--].
I was served promptly and politely. I got a window seat to observe flocks of terns in an aerial ballet, swooping over and around the Moruya Bridge.
I ordered the Fisherman's Pie which was excellent. It came with a pleasant salad and a choice of french fries or vegetables. The vegetables were great. Their wine list was good and well priced. I ordered a desert and they brought a glass of botrytis desert wine. The bill was $70. The food was served quckly and views were great overlooking the River.
