Could not fault this place. Outstanding food and excellent service and attention to detail. Roomy and well spaced tables. Absolutely equal to top city restaurants - not surprising as the Chef has previously worked at top Melbourne restaurants Ezards and Circa and it shows. Compliments to all the kitchen and wait staff, especially Marita (?) who was both knowledgeable and charming! Local produce ('this morning's egg....' a feature also. The slow cooked and sticky lamb neck was a generous portion beautifully cooked and presented - accompanied by artichoke, radicchio, pickled onions and shanklish(?). Friends enjoyed the roasted free range chicken breast with ricotta dumplings, 'today's vegetables' in a nice jus Fantastic. Warm chocolate tart with salted peanut caramel ice-cream topped off a great meal. Good wine list reasonably priced. First class. Prices about $38 for mains, $19 for entree and $10 for starters, $16 for dessert.

The menu at St isidore would not be out of place at a 3 hat restaurant in Sydney or Melbourne; the innovative ideas, the super fresh home-grown and local ingredients and the quality of the finished dishes were fabulous!

It's difficult to fine but well worth the effort, even from the car park it looks unlikely but once round the corner it's magic. Tables inside and out placed to make the most of the view over the valley, and of the hen house and herb garden. From the minute we went inside we were made to feel at home, they suggested we could walk round the garden, it was perfect.
The food is locally sourced as much as possible comes form their own garden. the dishes were all well presented with an emphasis on lots of fresh vegetables. My starter included the most amazing buffalo mozzarella that I have ever tasted.
The only thing I didn't like was the warrigal greens, I'd never tried them before and I'll try anything at least once, I'm sure it was nothing to do with the way that they were cooked just I didn't like them. A wonderful meal in a great setting very good value. They are only open Thurs to Sun evening (we went on a Sunday) we would have returned but we left the area on Thurs morning

We managed to book a table for two on a Friday night at short notice. Prompted by the great TA reviews, we were pleased that the planets had aligned to make a visit to St Isidore possible.
The menu was created to showcase the home grown and local veg in season. We opted for the trevalla and rib eye with the local spuds. Quality ingredients were cooked to perfection and nicely presented on the plate. The staff were both friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Dessert of chocolate tart with salted caramel was great, but the white mould cheese on the cheese board was the star of the show!

Overall a lovely evening and highly recommended.
